Hollywood has a new boyfriend. ?J.J. Abrams, director of the new Mission Impossible 3 flick (hailed by Aintitcool head-bitch Harry Knowles as the new True Lies) and co-creator of TV's Lost, Alias, and What About Brian, has a deal in the works to direct a new Star Trek flick. ?This one would start the series over (as earlier planned, then abandoned) at Starfleet Academy. ?A sort of a Smallville for the Trekkies, but on film, not on the small screen. Click on for more.

PLEASE if there is a God in Heaven, keep any Smallville type shows from ruining the classics. Isn't there even a shred of originality here. DeForest Kelly can be portrayed by ...one of the talentless fucks from One Tree Hill or Dawsons Creek, you know its going to happen.
hmmmm.
