Robert Altman's (dir. Nashville, Short Cuts, Gosford Park) take on the behind the scenes hit, weekly NPR radio show from the fictional Lake Wobegon has an all-star cast (Woody Harrelson, Tommy Lee Jones, Kevin Kline, Lindsay Lohan, Virginia Madsen, John C. Reilly, Meryl Streep, Lily Tomlin, Robin Williams) and a tease trailer. ?Altman received an honorary Oscar on Sunday night. Click over for direct links.

Somehow the thought of Lindsay Lohan in a serious role where she actually has to act just seems weird. Like Michael Jordan playing baseball.

Is it true that minorities don't exist in Lake Wobegon?  I take it that the Prarie Home Companion does not have a strong minority following.  :|  And the groundskeepers don't count.  :|

Lindsay Lohan = persistent white trashy girl who got a shot at prime *hollywood* entertainment.   -- I've seen sexier females at the mall.  Lohan is losing its flavor.  Time to move on.

Lindsay Lohan is a great actress just watch the parent trap or freaky friday possibly her best films to date. Her first big roles in adult movies are comming up in Bobby, and Chapter 27. Shes still good at the teen movie thang though esp in stuff like Mean Girls, Herbie and Drama Queen.

Yes, Lake Wobegon is full of Scandanavians. Lower middle-class Scandanavians. Farmers who keep their own grounds. Try listening to the show.
