Jodie Foster has again denied reports that she has turned down an offer to appear in Hannibal, a sequel to Silence of the Lambs.?Amplifying comments that she made earlier this month, she told the London Daily Express: "I'm awaiting the script before making my final decision.?I have spoken with Anthony Hopkins and he is in the same situation about playing Hannibal again." Writer Steven Zaillian (Schindler's List) is reportedly putting the finishing touches on the screenplay of Thomas Harris's follow-up.?It is generally believed that Zaillian will remove or extensively revise a scene in the book that Foster objects to.?Interviewed in Madrid, where she is promoting her latest film, Anna and the King, Foster remarked: "I want more than anything to make the second part of this film -- though I would never betray a person (the Agent Starling character) to whom I owe so much."
