i was afraid they were going to completly hollywood the film up... they havn't!!! its exactly like i hoped it would be...down to the fuzzy camera shots like in silent hill 4...AND THE MUSIC!!! YES PLEASE!!!! cant wait for the full film :D

i agree the games are awesome however i did think the second one lacked the finesse. they really did outdo themselves in the room tho. that pink bunny was just creepy, from the trailer this movie looks just as good as the games. my only hopes is the movie is rated "R" to keep the full aspect of the game

Actually , if you go to comingsoon.net you will see that it from the game and not a separate story. all the games are linked if youd pay attention im sure the movie will tie in as well. i know they are scenes from SH3 in there, but i also know its based on part 1 but with a woman lead, the woman who played the mother in "man on fire" is playing the lead. and even the guy who played Boromir in lord of the rings has a role in it.

I was so mad because I knew they weren't going to add Pyramid head in the movie. But recently I find out they they WILL add him, and when I saw him in the teaser I was so happy. Its strange but Pyramid Head seems to be the most loved character in all of the Silent Hill games. Thank you for making my dreams come true. -.-

I dont think it will tie in with all of the games...just one and 2....honestly...i beat 3 so fast...i dont even remember what it was about...i think t, 2, and 4 gave a little more understanding about what was going on..even though the graphics were lame, 1 was the best silent hill....sheer terror..and rose does look like heather i think..what were ur guys's favorite games? :)

This movie acutally appears to be based off of the first Silent Hill video game, not only does it explain that at comingsoon.net as someone else previously stated, but if you study the still shots at the official website you will come across what appears to be a corpse hanging on a fence with its bowels pooring onto the ground and if you remember in the first game in the very beginning you go through a back alley and you come across a corpse on a fence just like in the photo, just a thought on that subject :)

There is no dening it. After much further review, the figure throwing its bloody arms towards the camera is Pyramid Head. If you slow it down, you can clearly see his triangular head. And yes, Pyramid Head is the single greatest Silent Hill character to date.

i think the statement u made is stupid. the room or silent hill 4 was the worst one as it wasnt even scary compared to silent hill 2 i havent played 3 though. the second one is easily the best as it has the best feeling and sound. the 4 one sucked and the ending was rubbish aswell as the last bost. the 4 one had a serious bug in it as if u didnt move the monster's didnt attack u which was stupid and the game was far too easy even in hard mode

Not counting graphics, SH1 was the best of course that game introduced the series. But as far as the new games are concerned the second would have to be the best, it had the most characters and background history. The third one was great with even better music and awesome graphics but the fourth they seemed to just give up on, it had good music and there were a few scarry moments but going back and fourth to the apartment, the rediculous bosses and the annoying enimies that seeped out of the walls made it not worth while to play through a second time.

Looking forward to this, hopefully it doesn't end up like the Resident Evil movies... Akira Yamaoka, the same person who did the music score in the games, is doing the movie. The only downfall I think is that it doesn't follow the first game that well considering there is a father and a mother searching for their daughter.

Silent Hill 2 would have been a much better game to create a movie out of.

Nonetheless it should be great!

Did I spot Nurse Demons and Patient Demons? It looks very Silent Hill 2 drawn, not even in design but in actual monsters. In Pyramid Head shows up in this movie I may actually shriek for the 1st time in the movie theatre. Can't wait!!!

i know this has prolly been said before, but allow me to elaborate... imo Silent Hill was THE best survival horror game... EVER. Resident Evil comin in second, but not that close. Silent Hill is the only game i have ever had to pause... to calm myself down from something. Own them all, and bet your ass ill be there opening day, even if it turns out to be a bust, jsut to show support for the game.

and on the subject of that actually being The Pyramid... the head is certainly triangular, well, judging with the shadow of it that you see, but nothing clear enough for me to say one way or the other whether or not it is "him" for sure. Could just be another of the sick bassers they conjured up. And hopefully that wasnt a "rag doll", im hoping for a corpse, possibly torso of someone or one of his disgusting buddies =)

My favorite was the second by far. I thought the story was better and the music.
Also I like that in thge second game you are outside for alot of it and you really get to explore silent hill. I think it would have been a better movie

Agreed,SilentHill is a complex story; but this trailer got me hook line and sinker! When SH1 came out, i thought this could be a great movie. I've been a huge fan eversince. You can't squeeze the whole story into a single game, so by all means make a 2 3 and 4. I'll be there!!!!

i havnt been around here for a while, but i went and watched when a stranger calls...which by the way sucked compared to the original. and just stop talking about the pyramid head not being in it. if you have seen the actual trailer..(not the 27 second teaser) it shows him clearly. Dahlia Gelesphie looks nothing like the game...still looks great. although theres too much exlination in the trailer about the town...who wants to waste time worring about fires burning down silent hill...and it showed a bunch of people running to hide in a church or something...in the game there was harry, cheryl, cybil, dahlia, and a few more ...not 30 people. But everything else was flawless.
