IGN got their hands on some never-before-seen images from the upcoming "Doom," which is due out Friday. They've also posted a glowing review proclaiming "Doom" to be "the best videogame-to-film adaptation yet." Click over for more of the review and the exclusive photos.
The IGN reviewer sums it up thusly:
Your final decision on whether to see the movie should be based on two factors. If you like to see monsters destroyed in new and unique ways in darkened corridors, go see it. If you have played the game and wonder what it would look like on the big screen, go see it.
Everyone else, consider this: Doom is made to resemble and glorify a videogame. It has some tight action sequences and some righteous kills, and it succeeds in the things it sets out to do. However, these things do not include weaving a delicate tale of human interaction or composing a story that makes a lot of sense. If you can live with that, it's a hell of a ride. If you can't, just wait? Oscar season is almost upon us. (full review)
See "Doom" in theaters this Friday, October 21.
