First it was a film, then a hit over-rated broadway play, and now it's a film again made more like the play, bigger.  It's Mel Brook's, the Producers.  It stars Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick in the roles Gene Wilder and Dick Shawn played in the original film, and the same roles Lane and Broderick played on stage.  It also stars Will Ferrel and Uma Thurman.  Check it in craptastic Flash media.

Actually it was Gene Wilder and Zero Mostel. I don't no how you can say it was overated on Broadway. I think thousands would disagree and 12 Tony awards does not sound overated either

Who the heck is Dick Shawn?? You are SO wrong. It was Zero Mostel.

It was Zero Mostel playing the Nathan Lane character, Gene Wilder playing the Matthew Broderick character, and Dick Shawn displayed his genius in the first movie version as Lorenzo St. DuBois (LSD) as the actor that made a hit out of the 'guaranteed flop'!
I don't even see the Lorenzo character in the cast list of the new version, so I'll probably give it a pass. Watch the original and you'll understand why.
