Aeon Flux is a tough one to translate and is not a project to be taken lightly, it looks like it does the series some justice. It just looks a little too straight foreward and plotty, the show was a lot more trippped out. They could have spared a bit more funding for some environmental effects as well

I totally agree with you on that. If there were some way they could make a live-action movie of trippy little Flux skits, that would rawk my world. I'm kinda dissappointed in Trevor Goodchild, though. I've been in love with his character since I was a little girl, watching it on MTV. He's really not my image of Trevor. Pity. I'm still going to see it, though.

I agree: The animated Trevor was sultry, witty, calculating and so much more... the whole love/kill thing he and Aeon have going on is intense.
Where's the Trevor Goodchild style we expect in the movie?
Both his character and the plotline look a little dumbed down for the movie.
Charlize was a surprise choice for me, but she's a great actress... She'll probably be the best thing about the flick.
I'm gonna see it!
It might not be as good as the animation, but I expected it to look much worse.
Hollywood usually spoonfeeds the masses Sci-Fi-Failures Like StarWars 1, 2, and 3 or Matrix 3. I'm hoping this isn't another.

I am amazed there is any excitement about this film at all. The original Liquid TV shorts back in 1991 were great! The short lived half-hour series a few years later was very well done as well, I thought. I really enjoyed it. But this live action movie looks so very... well, stupid! I will not see it. I'm amazed that any Aeon Flux fan would pay a dime to see what they're trying to *pass-off* as an Aeon Flux feature film. I figure they're just rehashing something that *was* really cool (and not doing a good job of it), and trying to dupe a slightly younger audience in to seeing it. Puke. If they could produce a film that was REALLY like the original Aeon Flux animations - that would be VERY worth seeing. But what they made just looks like crap, with the name "Aeon Flux" slapped on it. Sad. Man - did the producers of this thing ever even WATCH the original Aeon Flux animation? No? Oh, that explains a lot.
