Everything Is Illuminated, the bestselling novel by Jonathan Safran Foer, has become the writing and dirctorial debut for hardworking character-actor Liev Schreiber. ?The flick stars Elijah Wood and centers on a mans quest to find the woman that saved his grandfather's life.

It looks "okay." I mean its sorta a mix between comedy and chick flit. I wouldn't totally recomending seeing it, but it looks like it wouldn't be a "total" waste of time/money.

You "wouldn't totally recommending seeing it"? You're talking about the movie as though you've seen it already. And the book is beautiful by the way. So if you like reading at all I HIGHLY recommend Everything is Illuminated, and his new book as well, "Extermely Loud and Incredibly Close."
The books are in no way a "chick reads." Jonathan Safran Foer is my hero, for real.

first off, i have read the book and everyone should because it is amazing. second off, the movie looks like it will be incredible as well and i am very excited about it. and by the way, eternal sunshine of the spotless mind was a GREAT movie, and if you think it was bad i dont know what the fuck you're doing commenting on this site (about another fascinating, great independant movie) anyways.

It was an okay movie. I didn't really like it that much. The trailers looked good but the movie itself was okay. I would wait till it comes on DVD. I do like the song in the trailer though but it doesn't appear on the soundtrack.

i read the book, it was amazing, i havent sene the movie yet, and im skeptical because i dont think they'll be able to re-create the feel of th ebook without either... taking a certain stance and therefore droppin gother parts. too much emphasis on one part coudl ruin everythign else.
