Just added a pic of Brandon Routh in the Supersuit from USA Today and Brandon Routh's website! Development-Hell.com has posted up an artist's rendering of the new supersuit design. ?So, a website got an artist to draft a sketch of a design that a scooper told them about. That, my friends, is geek fan dedication. Hi res version of the pic added!!!

The emblem is too small and his cloak, briefs and boots are meant to be red not brown.

I have just decided not to go see "Superman Returns" unless forced by the power of God himself. Nothing in the script or casting nor any talent from a credible diretor can salvage the movie if that horrible collection of rags is the costume for Superman. I can no longer stomach any news for this movie until I hear that this is some kind of joke.

I don't like to nit-pick or bitch about stuff like this usually but that costume just looks wrong. I've had a look around and loads of people have modified that picture in photoshop by changing the colours, making the S bigger, etc. I've gotta say, each one I've seen looks better than this.

Maybe the whole reason that this new costume doesn't look like the iconic one that we know and love is because they want to make sure that the action figures they end up releasing look different to any other Superman figures already out there.

This movie is going to suck becasue Bryan Singer for all he is saying about keeping Superman classic is deviating from what we know as Superman. The costume is classic. He could have sent Superman to earth in an and had him UPS delivered to the Kents. but he Superman uniform you don't change then say you are keeping it classic.

I agree, who cares about the action figures but unfortunately there's always big bucks in merchandising and the Studio wont want to miss out on anything.

Hey guys try not to criticise the film until you see it ok? As for the costume it looks great! If you are really going to complain about the boots being a different tinge of red then you are obviously just looking for something to gripe about. This movie will rock! Routh looks great as the new Man of Steel and long may he reign!

It's the fucking fat cats at Warner who've made the call. Singer probably wanted the tradition costume but they wanted it to look different from anything else so they'd get a bigger slice of the action figure sales.

Sorry to whoever designed the costume, but frankly, it sucks! No one is ever even gonna come close to replacing the Christopher Reeve films until they have at least a red cape, a bigger emblem, and some tights rather than the leathry looking stuff.

Okay, the dark leathry thing was okay with Batman, but Superman isn't a creature of the night. The costume sucks. Anyone who has any Superman sense knows the costume does not look like that. Infact, it looks more like the costume that the evil superman guy wore in the Christopher Reeve Superman III. Someone needs to write to Warner Bros. and tell them we're not buying tickets unless they change he costume.

may be after filming this superman movie it will still have a part2 so i think they can restore supermans custume. if they will not do that no they will nerver beat cristopher reeves as superman.

I can't believe true superman fans would even consider not going to see this movie just because they don't like the new costume, GROW UP. Christopher reeves costume was better but give this a chance, weve only seen one picture so far, and Brandon Routh looks great, maybe not in that particular picture but everyone takes atleast one bad photo hey, he looks great in the clark pics, the film will be huge, it will blow spiderman & batman out of the water.

yeah the costume sucks... but just remember that when singer says the classic look, he means the CLASSIC look. which means the one he was brought up on: the Max Fleischer cartoons, the original 1930-1940's comics, and moreso the 1950's George Reeves tv show... check, em out...there is no classic look, the look as always been in a state of constant change... be thankfull you weren't there when some of these shows/movies or comics were produced, because it seems you would have been very unhappy...
