Newsarama interviewed writer David Benioff (25th Hour, Troy, the upcoming Stay) about writing the Wolverine film for Fox. ?He mentions he's writing an R-rated pic and wants Wolverine's tale to be gritty and dark.

There are several versions of Wolverine:

1. Original Wolverine - A little bad ass mofo who can rough up street-level opponents.

2. Movie Wolverine - A taller version, that stays PC for audience sake.

3. Later Day Wolverine - Muscled up, in spandex, and battling Superheros.

4. Logan - A loner with a pendant for the Rockies, and occasionally eye patches.

Although Jackman is good in the role, I'd greatly prefer to see someone that fits the size requirements, perhaps Mike Keaton, or Bob Hoskins. Word on Loganforpresident.com is that Stallone will be playing the roll of Wolverines little buddy "Puck".

I sure do hope if Sabertooth is portrayed in this movie that he does not recieve such a lame characterization again.
