Filmrot.com got an anonymous scoop from some geek claiming to have run into Christian Bale (the new Batman) at an airport. ?The scoop goes on to claim Bale mentioned having signed up for 3 more films, one involving Brandon Routh. Bullshit internet gossip or not? ?You decide!

The same "rumor" appeared over at Darkhorizons.com a few days ago.

Frank Miller already showed us Batman would take out Supes quickly with his wiles. Superman truly is the "big blue boy scout" and wouldn't stand a chance against a "street-wise" Bats! Enjoy the movies tho!

I have grown up with superman, and in my opinon
the late Christopher Reeve was and still is the finest actor to play this role, the bar has been set rather high, I have nothing against brandon Routh and I hope he performs well
but somehow I doubt this film will work,
I would like to add one more thing I hate the new supersuit
why mess with a classic design, chris reeve's suit design was much better than brandon's.

Yeah, Routh will have loads of other roles. I mean, you can barely get Dean Cain of our screens. And Tom Welling has been in 'Cheaper by the Dozen'. I expect Routh will appear in at least one teen horror flick.
