Is SANDMAN The New Spidey Villian?

The aintitcool.com folks are hearing rumors, reports from inside Sony, that Sandman is going to be the new villian in Spider-Man 3.  Last week, they announced Thomas Hayden Church was cast, but left out what role he was cast in.  No one has yet to confirm or deny the,  Felica Hardy aka Black Cat possibility.

Sandman is one of the gayest villains ever. Shit, he might look good visually but venom officially rapes the sand man. I would personally prefer shocker instead of sand man, but venom overall is the one. Hell i don't care, just put venom in and then you can have any baddie you like.

mini roles or not, just get them in there. Rhino, juggernaut, vulture they could be an aiding assassin who spidey can kick the shit out of that would be ok. There are too many good villains in spidey's section of the big apple.

problem is this dude: Venom does kick ass, but his story-line/ arc, or whatever you call it is way too big for a 2-2.5 hour movie. There's too much going on in the Spidey univerise after Spidey-2 to go and add another huge storyline.

I bet Harry is going to finish the Goblin story- they'll probably be 2 villians- Sandman (ehh) and Goblin.

That's why I was joking. As for Tobey Maguire actually playing Spiderman, well of course when he's swinging around and fighting it's most likely a mixture of CG and stuntmen, but everytime Spidey's standing and talking with someone (Like in the elevator) Then it's Tobey.

i think venom should soooo be in sm3! cause like the green goblin was like everyones favourite in the 60's, doc ock in the 70's, and in the 80's it was venom....but i dont think the guy who's gonna be in sm3 looks like him...i think either venom, electro or mysterio should be in sm3!!! if its not any of those guys....and if it is sandman, the second green goblin should be in it too then....

That's bull crap! I mean first off we don't need another ghetto goblin, which couldn't even move his damn mouth in that haloween costume. We need Venom for Raimi to go out with a bang! He'd make so much more money! The idiot! Also, about recasting, I think Tobey and Kirsten are HORRIBLE! When the 1st 1 came out I was so disappointed. None of the cast carracters (main 1s) reminded me of the comics! And even in the second 1, did we all forget Doc Oc is NOT American? Where's the accent dude!? He didn't remind me of Doc Oc at ALL aside from looks. I'm most disappointed with Tobey and Kirsten tho. But Raimi could save his ass if he'd just put a good villian in the next movie like Kraken would be good, or Lizard w/e the heck his name is, or Venom. NOT Scorpion or Shocker or Electro or Sandman or Hydroman or Vulture or Rhino or any1 else. Hobgoblin woulda been good if they didnt mess it up so bad with the green goblin! And then mysterio rocks! But for a movie I'd pick Kraken, Mysterio, Lizard, or Venom.
