The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Thomas Hayden Church (Wings TV show, Sideways) has been cast as the villian in Spider-Man 3. ?No word on what villian yet. ?Director Sam Raimi and producer Laura Ziskin made the announcement yesterday. ?Neither commented on the last week's internet rumors about the existence of a 2nd, female villian in the script.

Most likely we're looking at either one of the two afforementioned symbiots (Venom or Carnage). Scorpions too dumb, cant be the Lizard, Hob Goblin would just be stupid since they can still do something with the Green Goblin and Harry and 3 Goblin itterations of spider-man is just too much of the same thing. Maybe Electro, but villains like Rhino or Shocker are too much of henchmen to be main villains. Really I just want it to be Carnage so badly.

Mary Jane's ex hubby should be venom! I know its a break from the true story but it's a perfectly set up villain that the people who watched the second movie can jump right in and recognize without having to introduce Eddie Brock

To be honest, if spidey 3 will be the last one with all of the original cast, than I would rather they used all of the baddies, and just had some fat ruck with all of them.

i would love to see venom, but i feel its too much of a stretch. how would they introduce the existence of the alien suit..? i mean it dates back to the secret wars, and i doubt, or ill say, i hope they dont reinvent the story line too much, just to write in a character as bad ass as venom. i dunno, i would really love to see venom come to life on screen.

Venom and Carnage needs to be in the 3rd movie. The Venom Saga is right after The Doc Oct saga. And Since Doc Oct already died, He should be next. Every one that i have spoken too wants venom and carange. Any other villan like the Sand man would be stupid. Who wants to fight someone who is made of sand. I really, really, really hope they are in it.

Yes! And Harry Osborn is Green Goblin 2, not hob goblin. The symboit should be on that ship that J.J. was on. They could show Peter meeting Eddie Brock and Celtis Kasaty and then have a 15 years later and Eddie and Celtis get there symbiots.

goin along the lines of the whole astronaut thing, the villian shud defo be venom, wether or not carange will appear is a diferent story. As the symbiote had to be de-tached from eddie then sent bk into space, for it to be brought bk to earth by a mystical wizard (cnt rembr name), so venom shud definatly be in the 3rd movie, by far one of the most popular villians, and would make a gr8 viewing. and as for sandman, wots the point, bit of water, end of (yeh gr8 story line)

To whoever said a lot of directions were set up is right. There is the Lizard, Venom, Hobgoblin, and then there is the story that went along with why Peter Parker started losing his powers from time to time and Doc Connors being the one that looked into it. Maybe then the Lizard is coming soon to the Spider-Man movies. A lot of doors were opened to other story lines. I think whatever the story line is it's going to be good because the other two were good.

They should go str8 up "Sinister Six II". Fuck the dumb shit. Do it right. Last film with the real cast? Just throw the whole wallet right at the movie and give it a proper send-off. What would you rather see? One male villain and one female villain (I'll wager Sandman, Black Cat)? Or Doc Oc, Electro, Mysterio, Vulture, Sandman and Hobgoblin II. Word.

They've got to have either Pyro-Maniac, The Turbocutter or Professor Burmuda in Spidey 3, if they wanted they could try to set up the whole Jocob Reid/Soul Collector story ark and carry it over to spidey 4 but that might make spidey 3 not feeling like a full movie.

MY point of view is that there are going to be 2 villians. They already proved that spiderman can easily take 1 villian. So maybe they feel like spicing things up. I'm sorry for those of you that really like Venom, but I feel that would be too compilicated to film. And besides what the hell type of storyline will that be? They didn't even introduce Eddie Brock in the 2nd movie. So I feel the villians will be The Green Goblin, and the Scorpion. The Green Goblin will definitly be in the 3rd movie because they put too much effort in showing Harry his fathers inventions. I also think the Scorpion will be in the 3rd movie because it's time Jonah Jameson should have a better role then just sitting behind a desk. And for those of you that are die hard Spidey fans, you know that Jonah created the Scorpion. So, I wouldn't really be surprised to see these villians. But definitly no venom.

Obviously..wasnt Dr. Connars in the second movie? So he is obviously gonna be in maybe, Sandman is Raimi's favorite so he'll put him in. But fuck man, Sandman? a guy made of sand? Wow..thats so badass huh..? Venom and Carnage all the freaking way, but let the fuck heads do what they want, you put sandman you get bad reviews, you put venom and carnage. You will be praised. As easy and as freaking simple as that. NO SANDMAN- he totally reaks in dog piss.
Mysterio is ok but no, Hob Goblin most likely but PLEASE IF your going to make Hob Goblin MAKE HIM LOOK FUCKING REAL! WTF is with this Metal no mouth movie non scary goblin suit? Green Goblin looked like a metal mascot! Dr.Otto was already used plus he sucks anyway, Shocker and Rhino cant be used, they're like henchman, Shocker looks like a yellow salami wrapped in speacil wrapping, and Rhino is just plain stupid. New York City, buisness suits, mini skirts, giant guys in grey animal suits??! WTF! Kraven the hunter wouldnt work cuz if u had him u would have to do that whole "Peter turning into a live spider bit" and that would waste an entire film because clearly Harry Osbourne finds the green goblin mask so obviously having Hob Goblin and Kraven wouldnt work at all. Vulture at this point woudlnt work now, if this is the last installment with orignal cast, go all out- Venom,Carnage,Hob Goblin and Black Cat. Make it a big fiasta of dead villans to end off 2007!

I think yea, a lot of doors were opened in order to introduce more villians. Black Cat is probablly a sure thing if they do introduce a female villian, but that'd be gay. What about M'dam Web? Lol jk. But yeah, personally I love Mysterio. Too complicated for now, but I think eventually MOST villians will be accounted for. Rhino, Hunter, and Shocker, and even Vulture I would wager probablly wont. Maybe even Hobgoblin, who should've been introduced instead of the gay Green Goblin. As for Venom and Carnage, I think so. Definitely could easily tie in Venom, Carnage would have to come later if at all. And setting up the thing with the doctor could easily show us his more...reptilian side lol. I think that's why they did it how they did is because it leaves so many options open and you could go anywhere with it. I mean who would watch a movie where you could predict everything before it even came out? Sandman would be extremely gay though. I don't think they'll do anything with the flying fortress thing and those faggots in blue suits. And in the comic series "The Punisher" was introduced, and all sorts of heroes have been seen throughout the series. I think Punisher would be too much, but how about a movie with Spiderman and let's say Captain America or Iron Man? And there's always that one white guy with the cape who just flies around and stuff. I forget his name but I've seen him before. They need to introduce archers I think like Hawkeye and Green Arrow. Iunno. But for Spiderman I think they'll hit on the main villians like the lizard and Venom and stuff, just not now maybe. I just hope they don't blow it by making another whole movie about green goblin stuff! I mean in the 2nd movie for heaven's sake, what happened to Doc Oc's accent? Did we forget he's not a frickin American!? Sheesh! I think after this 3rd movie they're really gonna start bombing movies in the series and eventually just stop because people wont wanna watch. I HOPE they get in Venom and Carnage though. OMG I love Carnage! But what about that one guy who like controls both of them or w/e in the comic? Some guy like tells them what to do (of course he's ordered by a higher power as well). And on a tanget while I'm on it, the X-Men movies need Gambit and Apocolypse and Sabertooth and really need Jaugernaut!!!
