But at 30, Sevigny is mellow about it all. After a decade as the poster child for edgy movies, the party girl from Darien, Conn., has let it be known she wants to go mainstream.
Way mainstream.
"I'd love to be in 'Spider-Man 3!'" Sevigny says. "There's a villain in it who's a blond, buxom girl, and I'm trying to get it!
"That [may] surprise people, since actors are always thought of as their last film or who they were. I think I'll always be drawn to films more difficult to watch, but I don't want to be a snobby cinephile."

Sam Raimi has said in numerous interviews that he's never much cared for Venom so I doubt we'll be seeing him in any movie while he's directing.

Black Cat IS pretty lame ! Church does seem best suited for Sandman, but I think he's a better fit for Mysterio. As for Venom and Carnage, I would think they'd have to be CGI to really do them justice. Sticking someone in a huge rubber suit for Venom would be asinine, and there's no way you could have Carnage without CGI...too much tendril action.

Another thought on Church; maybe The Lizard ? I know there was a Dr. Connors in 2, but I think they could slip in Church without anyone griping. I just don't think he's buff enough for Sandman. Even worse would be if they tried him as Tombstone ::shudder::

It's entirely possible that this actress was just playing. There may or may not be a buxom, blonde villain in SM3. But if there is, you need to expand your horizons a bit... think of other women in the Spider-verse, even the good ones. Silver Sable, Dagger, Gwen Stacy, there are others.
And as far as Church goes, think about this one ladies and gentlemen...HOBGOBLIN! They've already revealed in SM2 that Norman Osborne had more Goblin gear stashed away for Harry to find. And if you read the comics, you know that even though Harry had a hatred for Spider-Man, and was suspected to be the Hobgoblin, it turned out to be Ned Leeds. So my theory is Harry (through his deceased father) will recruit Church's character to don a modified Goblin costume and become Hobgoblin.

the problem is that there are too many crappy villians in Spiderman. We all want Venom so there is no chance they'll do that. the second goblin seems too obvious now. I think it's a good idea to do 2 villians, it's what most the Batmans did and it worked there. What they did in 2 is set it up for too many villians to be coming about. They have Venom set up but they won't do it this movie. And that sucks since they'll be losing Kirstin and Toby. We'll have to deal with a George Clooney (batman) type spidey

If you folks would spend less time bashing each other, and a little more time digging around the net and piecing together clues...
Thomas Hayden Church and Topher Grace will be playing the role of Chameleon. Topher will be going for MJ, and eventually be revealed as one of Chameleon's (Church's) identities.
This is not confirmed, but it is pretty solid speculation based on numerous rumors from many different sources.
Chameleon is lesser known to the non-hardcore Spiderman fanbase, meaning less preconceived notions about who he is and how he should behave, etc. It's also quite likely there will be another "villain" although in a more secondary role. Despite the vociferous protests of the nerdcore fanbase, Black Cat is highly suspected. Likely she will serve the antagonistic role of an outlet to support Peter/Spidey's jealousy/anger toward Topher/Chameleon.
Black Cat is unlikely to be a front runner villain in the traditional sense, but will probably have confrontations with Spidey as the plot progresses and the truth behind people's personalities and motivations are revealed.
If it all proves to be true, the movie will have VERY strong themes about identity and hiding one's true nature. It all seems to fit if looked at in that vein.
There you have it, my speculation based on what I've found, and what I expect from hollywood blockbuster scripts. Raimi is good, so I expect he'll make it work, even if not to the spectacular hopes of the hardcore-diehard Spidey fans.

Harry would not come back as the green goblin. the green goblin is dead and with it the suit. harry discovers in the end of spider man 2 "ANOTHER SUIT" in a hidden room. this suit will be known as the "hob goblin" suit. My next point. another possible villian is none other then the lizard man. watch the second movie and you will notice peters profesor has only one arm. VENOM as the next villian is almost too unlikely. venom appered on the tv show not in the comics and the movies want too stay true too the comics. another possible villain is the vulture! not the chameleon. the vulture can become young and old and did appear on the comics. the chameleon only appeard on the tv show. as of yet no one does have the real answer to the villian question but my guess would be the vulture, hob goblin, or the lizard man. Only time will tell.
