DailyWebLog writes "RDI has developed a 38.6 inch diagonal AMLCD prototype capable of full motion video at SVGA or 800x600 pixel resolution.?The prototype is a result of RDI's proprietary tiling technology, which enables the permanent assembly of smaller AMLCD panels into a larger singular display without any visible seams.?- OK, I am a little partial to this story cause it is about my company.?I am an engineering tech for RDI and we have announced ourselves for the first time (publicly) to the world today." I guess these large flat panel displays may be ideal for many applications including airports, conference rooms, electronic signage, kiosks, financial trading rooms, possibly even Quake..?but is the resolution good enough for graphic work? 38.6 is a pretty big screen, but hell, I can't really stand looking at resolutions that are less than 1024x768. And on a screen that huge, the poor resolution is just going to make things look awful. I've worked with low res projectors before, and the quality is NOT amazing.
