What happens when rappers from the East side meet up with the rappers from the West side? Well, I don't know for sure, but it appears to be a mess. These magazine "events" bring out the worst.

Race ALWAYS seems to come into the picture and that's a damn shame. I'm a black girl and I cannot stand rap music...I really dislike it 95% of the time it sucks, and a lot of rap that I hear has no meaning.

I have a number of problems with what is being said on this topic, so let me list them and we can get the facts straight.
1. A great deal of popular music is bullshit. As it turns out, much rap could be called pop, and much (but not all) of it sucks.
2. For the most part, rap has deteriorated over the years. In the 80s and the first half of the 90s, rap was becoming mainstream while still remaining an artform. Most (but not all) rappers now are phony, rich, and have about as much concept of the hard life as a rich white guy. They rap about money, shooting, bitches, or some asinine catch phrase from "Nigga what" to "Errbody in da club gettin' tipsy". I feel sorry for the few legit rappers that remain.
3. Nobody seems to recognize what a pussy Young Buck is. If somebody sucker punches your friend, you get pissed, but Dre is no pussy and he can take care of himself. But if you absolutely feel as though you must rush in, you don't pull a weapon. There is no honor in bringing a knife to a fistfight, and it is a pussy's way out to stab a lone guy with your whole crew backing you up. If two people have shit, they settle it man to man with their fists. It is stuff like this that makes us black people look like animals to white America. Grow some fucking balls Buck.
