X-MEN 3 Has a Screenwriter!

20th Century Fox has contracted Simon Kinberg (upcoming films "Elektra," "Fantastic Four," "Mr. and Mrs. Smith") to pen a script for the third installment of "X-Men," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The original filims were penned by various people, among which only Bryan Singer (who directed both) and David Hater ("The Scorpion King") were credited for both movies.

Kinberg said that "X-Men 3" still has no set story line, but he is a "religious reader of the ('X-Men') comics."

After Singer's falling out with 20th Century Fox last summer, the franchise will need to find another director. ?Ain't it Cool News reports that Joss Whedon (TV's "Buffy the Vampire Slayer") is in talks with the studio to direct "X-Men 3," though no deal has been made.

you got this all wrong.
1) phenix is just a name. just because they are called x men dosent mean that they are Xs
2) a phenix is a fire bird meaning it has fire powers
3) i mean she is hot because she is good lookin

do u even read the comics, or r u just a fan of the movies, because u obviously know nothing about the X-Men.  I think it is about time they introduced the Sentinels.

as well as Beast, but (and i've been a huge fan of Gambit for many years) if they don't introduce Gambit soon - whether he's a good guy or a villain, I don't think i'll pay to watch any more of these movies.  Fan of him or not, u have to admit that he was very important character pertaining to a number of things.  Beast as well.  And the comics have done the whole Pheniox thing so many times, even with the newer editions, i don't know that i really wanna see that in a movie.

Im not sure that they would introduce so many new characters (i.e. gambit, beast etc...) because in X2 they more or less just expanded characters so it would be useless to just add a bunch more for the third movie.
