AMITYVILLE HORROR Behind the Scenes Clip!

A seven minute clip from behind the scenes of "The Amityville Horror" is up at Yahoo! Movies. ?Ryan Reynolds ("Van Wilder") and Melissa George ("Mulholland Dr.") star as the Lutzes, a young couple who get more than they bargained for when they move into their demonic dream home.

The year before, a man killed his entire family in the house and claimed that evil voices made him do it. ?Now the evil in the house is back and its new victims are George and Kathy Lutz.

"The Amityville Horror" is supposedly based on a true story and was originally released in 1979. ?The update is directed by Andrew Douglas and is due out next year.

WHY?WHY?WHY?THE ORIGINAL WAS THE BEST!why remake this movie? most of the remakes hollywood is churning out suck. texas ch.,psycho,walking tall,etc.i hear they're gonna redo the birds..."THE FRIGGIN BIRDS"fer crissake! much like the well of ideas for new t.v. shows has all but dried up in the reality t.v. fad of today ,so to has the well dried up for the silver screen.i had high hopes for "ALFIE" but judging buy the trailers i saw it does'nt look good...COCK KNOCKER OUT!!

Yikes! The origional was the BEST? Maybe for camp/nostalgic reasons, but the actual film was CRAP.

Get over it people, it's just a friggin movie. And from the looks of it, I think it is going to be a great movie. Stop analysing everything to death! Who give a #!#! if its a remake or a hoax ? Its entertainment, enjoy or not...

Great flick as it is - why tamper with a good thing.  Leave the original as the one and only.

As Melissa George said in the behind the scenes footage, they're being guided more by the book then from the original movie. Besides, I think this will be a great oppertunity to get this story out to our generation. It'll also really show us the full effects of what the Amityville home may have done to this family, more so then the original, due to the lack of technology back in the 70's.

i actually like the new movie more than i did the old.

but im also alot younger and saw the newer one before i ever saw the older one.

but i thought that they were both awesome! 2nd one was much scarier.
