Actually, the Rock is shaping up. His acting debut flat out sucked. However, protraying Chris Vaugh in Walking Tall, he proved to me at least htat he is more than a corny wrestler who is famous because he is toned. Basically he did a great job in that movie and if he can do it again I think he can nail the role

If they shoot for a PG-13 rating..this movie has no chance in hell. Ah, what's the difference...Hollywood doesn't know how to make a scary movie anymore anyway.

I believe it's very simple, the movie should be shot from the standpoint of an unncensored documentary shot on phobos. The main marine whoever he yes he is must endure in detail brutal attacks where as he must locate medikits and consume berserker kits to survive. The later half of the movie should be shot in a cinematic atmosphere similar to that of a paranoid drugged out soldier fighting to survive predator#1 style, using passion of the the christ makeup artists to pull of the brutality of being attacked and slashed and bitten and burned by DEMONS....but thats just what I think you know.....

has anyone wondered why almost every movie based off a game has been a flop? Its because everytime some asshole in hollywood tries to "give it his own spin". You don't shoot the horse you rode in on, and you don't pg a script that demands killing monsters. SOME MOVIES ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE FOR KIDS, STOP TRYING TO MAKE THEM "SUITABLE" FOR THEM. I don't know about ya'll but as a grown man i pay my money to see ass-kicking not dry, drab "overly stacked special effects" and crapy music in the back ground cause its "hip". Some of the best movies used very little special effects and alot of suspence. a really good director knows how to create a effective marriage of the two. i'm so sick and tired of directors taking the lazy approach and just creating a monster in a comp. i can tell when one is CG and the physically built prop one's have so much more "realism" to them. obviously the comp has been a effective tool, but too many movies use too kuch special effects in cg to compensate for crappy scripts, crappy acting, and crappy directing.
