One of the rules in fight club is "No shirts no shoes" and they are clearly wearing shoes in the picture above. I have only seen one bit of the game and already been able to point out one mistake. This game is clearly going to suck. God damn fox enetertainment has no respedct for good movies. I heard they were also making a Scarface the video game. Whats next? Snatch, clockwork orange, and Godfather video games?
this game is perfect!!!!

No shoes eh...can you not find anything else to bitch about? If your such a die hard Fight Club fan I might reccomend to you that you bitch to Fincher that Bob in the movie does clearly wear a shirt when fighting Norton...Cardinal sin. You might also try mentioning how Marla writes her phone # down on Nortons hand but upon arrival to his exploded apartment...he finds a peice of paper with her number written on it in a girls handwriting...and one more...when he calls Tyler and Tyler does not answer...his 50 cents didnt return...I just thought I would point this shit out to all of you bitchin about the VG cause its all about fighting when, in fact, there are plenty of mistakes in this movie you seem to worship so much...so quit bitchin cause after all...its a fucking video game.

Hey, I enjoyed Fight Clib it was interesting and a bit different from the norm but I wouldn't say I idolize it. I just think that translating this film into a standard Beat em Up is doing an injustice to this movie. A fighting game based on 'Kickboxer' or 'Rocky' that's one thing but Fight Club was about alot more than fighting. I mean, in the film it was meant to be that it didn't matter who won or lost, how does this work in the context of a game?

you stupid bitch, the reason his 50 cents didn't return, and that marlas # was on a piece of paper was because all of that shit was IN HIS HEAD... he was crazy remember? none of that shit needed to happen, he didn't even call tyler you silly faggot. but yeah... this video game would be cool if they had a game about the whole movie, not the fighting, it is defintely going to suck

Dude, if you look on the website, it clearly says...
Action, story and settings from the Fight Club film
Shocking real-time damage that affects gameplay
Highly realistic environmental interaction
So, it obviously is about a weee bit more than fighting, don't you think?
Dumb bastards

When they come out with a fighting game, and name it some random name, no one wants to buy it cause there are so many dumb fighting games. Yay. The graphics look good, WHO CARES. There are so many other fighting games that have good graphics. So yes, they named it after a movie so people would buy it. Good marketing strategy. Yes, they didn't get things right. And yes, they should have had someone who watched the movie make the game. Even still, they shouldn't have made it all about fighting. OR...and here's where people messed up, they should have named it something else that had to do with the movie...like "inside fight club", or "the first rule of fight club is...", or "hit me as hard as you can"...something so people could relate it to the movie so it would sell and make money, but also make it not directly related to the movie as to not piss off those of us who are huge fans.
And in response to the guy up top that mentioned something about that guy wearing a shirt...HE HAD BITCH TITS!!! Of course he had to wear a shirt. Plus, they probably couldn't pay meatloaf enough to take off his shirt anyway.
Would I buy the game? Probably not. Would I rent it, or play it if a buddy had it...absolutely. I loved the movie, and think that it would be a cool game to beat people up like in real life...as long as they hug afterwards. Do I think they should have went to a story line instead of another fighting game...ABSOLUTELY.
Remember, you are not a rare and unique snowflake...you are not the car you drive...and you are not the video games you play

look- would you all shut the fuck up? ..well.. let me clarify this, because some of you are actually intelligent. for the "die hard" fan boys out there- if you assholes were such die hard fans of the movie/book fight club, you wouldn't be bitching about a video game. if you truly believed in the morals of the movie, would you even own a computer? would you be sitting in your underwear, at 1 am in the morning, writting about a fucking video game? i really fucking doubt it. as a matter a fact, if you did do that, i'd call you a hypocrite.
the movie is called "fight club", ok? fucking FIGHT CLUB, which was about a group of people.. in a club.. who fought.. why? to let frustration out. to let out all the bullshit you deal with in life and just smash some fuckers face in.
fight club is an exaggeration. it just points out how corperate driven out country is, but you know what? we're americans (well, atleast i am). we buy things from ikea, and we buy shit we don't need, and we buy video games about movies that tell us "don't buy video games about movies".
lighten the fuck up. it looks like a good brawler/fighting game. and maybe, in some strange way, it'll help us just like it helped everyone from the movi.. umm.. well.. i wouldn't really say helped.. most of the people in the movie died.. or were really fucked up near the end.

Did you actually watch Fight Club, or just assume the premise from the title. If so, I hate to tell you this, but, Good Will Hunting is not about people having a good day hunting wills and The Ring has nothing to do with jewlery. Watch the freaking movie before you open your stupid mouth and piss everybody off.
before you bash something do some research

on the games official website it says there is a story mode to the game where you are a space monkey and do missions to work you're way up........thats the game amny say should have been made, and guess what it has, plus you get to fight.....so until i actually play it i will hold off on saying if it's good or not.......
and the message of fight club was not anti-consumerism, it was the fact that tyler took his message too far, thats why he died, because the narrator (his name isn't jack, a name is never given, he only says jack because that was in the article he read) realized Tyler was wrong and not needed........
This game sucks ass!

I agree with majority opinion in that this game is not true to the movie in any way. The makers of this game have completely taken this phenomenal movie and pulled it out of context. Fight Club was never about fighting, contary to most people's generalizations. In fact, the acutal fighting was probably the least important factor. I wonder how chuck palahniuk could've allowed this. oh well.

i just went through and read most of the comments posted about this game and i found it very interesting how everyone got very defensive and everyone really got emotional about this lil game thing. Personally, i dont think i would rush out to purchase it or anything. the movie on the other hand is ab. amazing and i would seriously reccommend it. All i think is that most of the people who have decided to post comments basically post to have some type of "online fight" which is...ammusing. I would say to those who are just here to argue, maybe those ppl are the ones who should really go out to buy this game, then everyone could have some big "fight club" challenge....u kno, just to get all that excess energy out of ur systems? other than that, id say if u think it looks neat, go for it.
YOUR ALL WRONG!!!

If you guys would stop to think for a sec... Hey, they finally made the Fight Club game, BITCHEN!!! You wouldn't be sitting there typing these stupid messages, the point of my argument is... If you truly dont like this game you truly dont support Fight Club in itself, it shouldnt matter how many mistakes they made with it, the point is is that they finally made it!!! Im plannin on buyin it soon enough, DEAL WITH DISAPOINTMENT PEOPLE, lifes full of it...

Wow, I honestly can't beleive the amount of stupid ass hypocrite teenagers there are who think they know everything. For one, Fight Club is just a story, if it was actually true to it's moral, there wouldn't be a movie, because that's against what it says. Secondly, all you stupid assholes should have read before you posted the same thing as everyone else. Also, Norton's character IS named Jack in the movie, he says his name several times in third person to describe his feelings and it's Jack in the credits, not Untitled Narrator or some bullshit. Take your thumbs out of your asses.

yeah, honestly, i can say that this game sucked. It was just too...i dunno, not true to what it was in the first place. It could be a whole lot better than what it was.
