ALIEN VS PREDATOR Fight Scene Clip!!!

Yahoo! Movies has posted a fight scene from the upcoming film "Alien vs Predator." ?In it, a single Predator takes on a single Alien. ?The scene is interesting, but instead of selling the movie, the clip probably does more to prove how bad it will be.

On its own, the fight clip is fun to watch, but something doesn't feel right about it. ?To start, a one on one fight between these two killing machines is a no-brainer. ?Predator can't lose. ?Right? ?The fact that the Predator in this clip has any trouble should prove the the aliens will win the battle in the movie. ?If one Predator takes this long to dispatch one alien, how will they take on an entire colony that will undoubtedly outnumber them by quite a bit?

Let's face it: ?"Batman: Dead End" looks and feels way better than this.

"Alien vs Predator" is due out next week.

Charley, do us all a favor and look for another line of work other then reviewing movies because you suck at it.  If you knew anything about either Franchise you would know Aliens are just as dangerous as Predators.  I have been following these two Franchises for 11+ years by reading books, articles and of course movies.  Aliens are as strong if not a little stronger then a Predator.  Couple that with their excellent dexerity and natural weapons and you get an awesome killing machine.  Also notice the Predator is using only brute strength and his arm blades.  A human would have been ripped apart in a matter of seconds.  This clip just sold me on how good the movie will be.

I don't follow either the Aliens or Predator franchises very closely but aren't the Aliens supposed to have some acid blood shit that burns holes through metal. Why didn't the Alien just decide to bleed all over the Predator? I know whenever I get in a fight I just bleed all over my opponent and tell them I have acid blood. When they don't believe me I tell them I have a chlamydia/AIDs fusion which can cause certain places to sting real bad. They don't stand a chance.

Oh! by the way, Charley doesn't need to look for another line of work. When he's not doing a damn good job writing news and reviews for DT he does a fantastic impression of a PEZ dispenser.

Actually, I have followed the franchise reasonably closely (at least I did until I was about 14 and then I started dating). ?I love Aliens. ?I want them to win. ?But the fact is, their main asset is that they have strength in numbers.

Just ask any marine with a pulse rifle.

Yes, a human would have been ripped apart, but we're not dealing with a human here. ?We're dealing with a Predator who can't even design his main weaponry (bad ass claws) to withstand the acid blood of what, according to the lore, is his arch nemesis.

So yes, Aliens are just as dangerous as Predators to humans, but in the comics et al. the Aliens are usually successful only when they surprise the Predators or they attack in force.

Oh god I hope my girlfriend doesn't read this post.

That's my experience. ?I own a few of the Dark Horse comics, but I don't claim to be an expert. ?Neither is most of humanity, though, so I feel like I'm speaking for the common guy--the guy who is going to be duped out of ten bucks next Friday.

I hope you're right and I'm wrong about this movie. ?I've been waiting for it ever since just before puberty.

And I would love to get another job but then who would take Jack to the hospital after he finishes bleeding all over his opponents.

Ok I admit to being wrong about Charley, it was knee jerk reaction.  I am truly just sick of people bashing this film.  I wish people would realize this the movie that will make or break the Alien and Predator franchises.  If anything the fans of either franchise should supporting the movie not bashing it.  There that's my point.

Aliens goalie will use his tail and stop all the penalties, even if he jumped to the other side, fooled by Predators laser lock.

predator's are all about the hunt they live for it so why use a weapon that will kill the alien in one shot when the fighting with just wrist blades is more of a challenge

The reason is very simple.  The ritual that is being protryed in Alien vs Predator is called "Blooding".  This is where a Predator becomes a true warrior and a memeber of his clan.  He must defeat an Alien in hand to hand combat.  That means just arm blades and raw brute strength.  What better way for the Predators to weed out the weak members of thier clan.  If you read the book Alien vs Predator:  Prey the ritual is discussed.

You know, in some places in Africa there are animals who have only ever seen one type of human: hunters. They don't know that there are humans with normal jobs like lawyers or doctors etc... What if it's the same with Predators, that would make an interesting movie.

ive just seen the fight scene between the 2 and its wicked, what a heavy weight clash. But i have to agree with is, if the predator struggles to beat up 1 alien, how the hell is it gonna destroy a whole colony of aliens. only 5 predators and thousands of aliens..hmmm what r the odds. I bet arnie, danny glover and sigorney weaver will make a guest appearance and show how to kick ass, they've kicked alien and predators ass before respectively..so why not again...lol..save mankind......hahaha

you fool. if you knew any-thing aliens are controlled by the hive Queen. and aliens just dont have the intelect to know when to bleed on someone. when you've been stabed or shot would you instanly think to spill you blood on your enemies? I know i wouldnt.

on a diffrent note i think predators and aliens are pretty evenly matched strength wise but predator have better technology and problay a bit smarter.

In predator 2 when the predator didnt have his visor mask on he needed a special kind of oxygen breather thing. but in Predator 1 he did'nt..... meh, i realy should'nt think to much about that. God i'm so depressed, think i'll sharpen my knife....

...erm..you said bishop was at the end of alien 4...surely you mean 3. I like to forget alien ressurection..for its shire stupidity...1,2,3 rock...4...sucks in my opinion. Predator is overrated...i think predator 2 has a far better honestly..i won't be fooled into thinking its good because of Arnold.

Predator 1 was so much better than the    sequel, it was pur action at its finest. I'll admit Predator 2 picked up a bit towards the end but it was overall inferior. Also, Alien 3 was one of the most boring non-events I've ever had the misfortune of witnessing,
