This costume is ten times better than the one with the nipples and padded ass crack, this is true. And Christian Bale is the best they could get to do the job. the ONLY prob I have is that Bales head doesn't fit the cowl. It's picky of me, I know but, they could of at least made the thing fit his head better. Other wise its fine.
BUT BATMAN IS STILL MAH NIGGA!!!!

As a long time follower of the Batman I understand Wayne utilized a number of uniform "Batsuits". It appears the Batman Begins film is following the graphic accounts illustrated in "Year One". I know from many of the comics Batman, in some instances detached his cape from the hood or cowl and uniform body suit. I applaud the authorities behind this film for a noble attempt to capture the ominous terror of the Dark-Knight. If Batman Begins succeeds -and I certainly hope it does, we should look for the Batman to enhance, accesorize or alter the uniform -including the cape as he finds necessary.
As a matter of interest I think the Batman of the two 1940's films are not far at all removed from what Frank Miller conceived in the Dark Knight returns. There we saw an older -stocky Batman.
If Joel Shumacher had passed on the ridiculous nipple additions, I thought Val Kilmer's suit was the most streamlined and stealth to have been conceived to date.
The uniform of "Batman Begins" is supposed to be the forerunner or proto-type of that stealth model.
Bale's talent bring's the pathological scarring and engineering necessary to make this character work. He can set up the menace and intrigue even under all of the Batsuit's armored covering that others did not.

LoL...omg this guy is cracking me up....this movie has been in production months now and you don't know anything do ya? The title is Batman begins...the cast is Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Liam Neeson, Cillian Murphy, Katie Holmes, Ken Wantanabe, and some other good actors. This movie is a restart and has no connection whatsoever with the past 4 batman movies. This is a origin story of how Bruce Wayne mastered his martial arts and obtained all his gadgets like batarang, grappler, batsuit, etc. The first half of the movie is all about Bruce Wayne and the second half is ALL Batman. The chemistry between Gordon and Batman is going to be shown in this movie. Unlike the past 4 movies where Gordon just send Batman to beat out thugs and villains. Gordon bout time play an important role in this movie like he did in the comics and animated series. He'll help Batman with crimes like by giving him clues and other stuff. While Batman sometimes help him out with certain crimes. So this movie is really doing what comics did and I'm happy with that. Bout time WB did a Batman movie right. So does that answer all your questions curiosity boy?

Damn...I can't believe some people are so god damn dinky and gawky. Wonder what hole they came out of. Don't know why some people just lvoe dissing Batman for. I don't think any of us have ever offended the people who posted the 3 comments. What makes your post so ignorant and useless is that no one REALLLY GIVES A SHIT what chu think...state your opinion about this movie cause I can careless about what a hypocrite really thinks...don't wanna shatter someone's ego that is so diminutive...

Well the reason for that is because the movie sucked. This movie, Batman Begins, is a totally different movie and a restart so it'll have no connections with the others. so expect something different and new.

Big words,
Riddler...big words.
It would have helped, though, if you used them in the right context. First, it's not hypocrisy to say I am Batman...because I am...Batman. And yes, there was one time Robin and I got a little too drunk off the Batjuice, and, you know? And we are in the final stages of the adoption process, although on paper, it?s just me adopting and not Robin, just to make thinks easier. SEX IS BACK!!!

aw damn...i was hoping for something more along the lines of the suit in the batman/aliens/predator short film. simple and realistic.
if the film is striving for such realism, why did they go this old scumacher route (sans nipples n' cod)...it's too techie for a 'first suit'....i wanted to see grey leather, like a modified jacket with kevlar lining, big black leather gloves with maybe lead weighted knuckles, and big calf-high comBAT boots with monster tread
and alittle more 'handmade look' in everything. i know, iknow, he's a millionaire, but i like the idea of him starting small....lucius fox shouldn't be 'in' on it right away....

If you've even bothered to read the comics, you know that it's not a loving relationship between Batman and Gordon, esp. in the beginning. Gordon will not be "giving him clues and other stuff" in this movie. Duh.

Okay, the new suit doesn't look as bad as I thought it would. If I had to be picky I would say the following three aspects need to be fixed: 1) The ears are too tapered and stubby which gives him more of a bulldog look at some, SOME, angles; 2) the necklace for the cape has got to go--he's not Spawn after all; 3)the mouth opening is too tight and narrow--it needs to be opened a little more to expose more face, otherwise it gets lost in the suit, and some of the angles are less clearly defined than others. Otherwise, this suit is awesome!!!! The belt is amazing--about time!!! And overall the lines draw your eyes throughout the costume so it looks lean and crisp. An excellent "beginning" costume.

i really hope this is a "possible" costume and not the actual one. it looks like batman stuffed thousands of tissues in his suit to look muscular. the cowl is much too bulky and should be more of a thin leather material to better show contorts of the actor's face, and the cape should fit more like a cloak in which batman can lose himself inside. look at the comics, most of the time when you see batman, all you see is a freaky looking mask and a faint outline of a man wrapped in a billowing cloak

But hey, it's not my fault you don't have a penis. I guess it's kind of a good thing though. If you had one, you'd probably rub it all over the picture up there and that really wouldn't be pretty. Let's face facts. If this is the new Batman suit, the movie is in trouble. The utility belt needs to seem like a series of well-stocked pouches, as it appears in the Batman Books of recent years, which, if "heavy, pose no problem for a man of Batman's skills. Sort of like an NYPD officer's well-stocked "stuff" hanging from his belt. The cowl and cape were supposed to be contoured, not thick and immobile (recall how everytime previous Batmen in the recent movies needed to turn their head? They had to make 45 degree angle turns like they were old men with neck problems!). And the color -- what's with the grey? Black, me boy, black and matte. With the cape usually covering him almost entirely, as if it was a swell of smoke that swirled around him wherever he goes or moves, unless he choses to push some of the cape aside for freedom of movement. Ah why don't the movie directors consult with us. I am a 43 year old clinical psychologist who knows more about Batman than all of the Producers out together.

My dear, the actor's need to be able to move is not OUR problem. That is the job of those who create fantasy. To the viewer, to those who want the experience of what fantasy is when it becomes "reality," the actor must look like the skin is essentially part of his body, moving freely, and should feature its fulsome, swirling quality whenever he jumps. By the way, Batman better move like Spiderman in Spiderman II, or there's gonna be a lot of yawning in those theaters, and when he moves, it is the producers' job to make sure that it seems as if Batman can do the same kind of flips Spidey does, with his cape in harmonious pursuit, gracefully, as if the Batman -- and he would, wouldn't such as he! -- bore in mind with every movement just how the cape, wind, drag, and so on would effect him. Otherwise you're gonna get what we had in previous movies: overly dull, one dimensional jumps or turns, with the mildest of cape movement.

And all you guys arguing over the batman suit, shut up ok, go outside and get a drink. If you were smart enough you'd be making this film. But since you're not, stop complaining. They don't look at these posts.

I like this suit in the movie, but I think some refinements need to be made for The Dark Knight. The cowl needs some work; up close it looks kinda silly in the movie. I would like to see a more angular opening for the mouth instead of the big circular opening, and some changes to the eyes.

i would have to agree and say that the first suit and second in batman and batman begins was perfect, the other movies 3 and 4 thought and placed too much emphasis on streamline looks, nipples, accessories, but no substance, the fifth suit grew on me, but if you recall in the subway scene with rachael the look was menacing but it looked as if the suit was throwing up his face, "guess you rattled the cages" something to that effect. get at me with your opinions and i am not here to offend anyone and yes i can spell.
