"Spider-Man" director Sam Raimi talked candidly with the BBC about some juicy "Spider-Man" bits last week--the day he finished the script for "Spider-Man 3," as a matter of fact. ?What details did he reveal about that film, which is due out in the Spring of 2007?
Well, about all he could tell us was this:
It's going to follow the natural progression of the growth of these two individuals, Mary Jane Watson and Peter Parker. It will be a love story and it will track the relationship as they encounter new conflicts that separate them. And hopefully their own will and love for each other will bring them back together in the piece. Harry will be a problem, but I'm not certain if Harry will become the Goblin or not. The thing I'm really not certain about is if he comes to feel, "Now I have the means to destroy Spider-Man - I was too weak before but now I have a way and I will become the man that my father always dreamed I could be." Or, does he feel: "Now I understand why Spider-Man had to destroy him, because he was a mass murderer and now my anger can drain away from me." It could be an answer to a question and it ends the pursuit, but I'm not certain which way to go.
Sounds. . . exciting? ?Follow the link below for the rest of the interview.

Spring!? How can Spider-man 3 be anything other than a summer movie?

SHH lists the release date as May 7, 2004.
Yahoo Movies has it as May 4, 2007. ?That's what Movies.com says too.
Ign Filmforce just says May, 2007.
I decided to play it safe and just say the season that May occurs in. ?Gives me a three-month margin of error. ?And?May is almost summer.

I couldn't imagine them releasing the movie anytime other than the summer or possibly christmas. May's a good time, just as long as it's no earlier than that.
Raimi's not certain?

He's not certain whether Harry will become the Goblin??? Excuse me, but didn't he give this interview the day he finished the script? That seems to be a pretty major plot point to leave up in the air.

Agreed. He's becoming a typical Hollywood teaser, like John Tesh, or Andy Dick.
What about the Black Cat ?

I am lookin forward to see Spider-man struggle against the Felica Hardy/Black Cat.
For me, this love/hate relationship would be powerfull on screen.
