Word has it that pro-wrassler The Rock is interested in taking on the starring role in the video-game flick that just won't die. ?No matter how hard they try to kill it. ?Could having a leading man get "Doom" off the ground?
The Rock mentioned his interest in the project during an interview with The Empire Online. ?He discussed his next project, "Spy Hunter" (another video game turned movie), but said that delays in filming that might give him the opportunity to take the role in "Doom."
And, if the scheduling permits, you might be watching The Rock in two long-awaited video game movies sometime in the future.

If you compare the original Mortal Kombat to other movies of that genre then it holds up pretty badly.
