As much as I like Steve Martin.  Seeing him as Inspector Clouseau is a far stretch!  Me thinks that this will be a flop.
Anybody who has seen Ali G (HBO) playing his Kazastan immigrant character will immediately see that is the guy to play the inspector.

The perfect guy to play clouseau is alreay in the movie, only problem is he's not in it as Clouseau. That's right, I'm talking about Kevin Kline.

You folks are idiots. Steve Martin's been wielding a French accent since his stand up days, even threw one out in Roxanne. Problem with Kline starring as Clouseau is Kline can't carry a picture, and Steve Martin's been carrying pictures for three decades. Steve Martin is still the funniest comic on film today, and this movie looks like a laugh riot.

I actually saw the movie.  Twice.  It's really, really good, though I can't guarantee everyone will like it.  It's at least worth seeing once (or twice!).
