It wasn't attended by the director but we managed to see Julia Stiles was seated there at the back... Presumably she was taking a break from the play that she was in Oleanna (which is very good... Go and see it if you are in London).
Anyhow, I don't want to give too much of the plot away, but in a nutshell an important Chinese politician is murdered and they blame Jason Bourne. But Jason Bourne doesn't exist. As we know from the first film he's really called David Webb and he's retired and shacked up with Marie. Well pretty soon the CIA track him down, and all hell breaks lose and we're off with Webb (Bourne) and Marie having to try and find out exactly who is trying to fram! e him and why they are trying to create a diplomatic incident.
So what did I make of it? Well, I must confess that I really enjoyed the first film, it had a great car chase in it, and despite Mat Damon not being the world's greatest actor he carried off the first film. ??
The second film is hugely enjoyable and whilst it doesn't have the who am I? mystery element to it (we know who he is) it passed the time, had another great chase scene and it had quite a neat little ending that I shall not spoil.
Quite why Julia was there I'm not sure... She's in it a bit more than the last film, but she really is a minor character.
Score outta ten? An eight. And I'm not easily pleased!

And the other guy: if Matt Damon was a retard then why did you suck his dick for? Silly stupid "retard".

LoL...man this is hilarious seeing all these harsh comments going on around here. Almost all of the post are made up with the word retard...nice....yea right...lol. But now to the reason I've post. I saw the first Bourne movie and it was pretty damn good. I think Matt Damon is a pretty good action star even though he didn't started out doing action movies. The fighting scenes were clean, smooth, and exciting in the first movie and it looks the same in the 2nd one by looking at the trailer. I'm pretty excited to see this one and Matt Damon is a convincing actor. Also why are you guys even arguing for when your words don't mean nothing at all and it doesn't prevent people from seeing this movie? Can't we all get along...ah fuck it...go keep calling each other retards...its pretty amusing...

The Bourne Supremacy is a weak sequel to The Bourne Idenity. Matt Damnon did an admirable job with a script and filming technique that left a lot to be desired.
In virtually all of the interviews Damon has done, he constantly harps on the quality of the script. I think the lady protests too much.
The script, which leaves you hanging on the verge of caring for any character, but not really, is only exacerbated by the hand held camera technique. It's gimmicky and almost impossible to follow.
The cuts and handheld are so overwhelming that it is almost impossible to get past. I nearly (literally) became ill from the constant bouncing and motion. I haven't had a feeling of nausea in a movie theater ever and only once while at sea.
The premiere was incredible, the party at Sunset and Vine was rockin' and Joan Allen and Brian Cox stole the show.
And just for all of you who question whether it was really seen...(Don't read further if you want a surprise) Marie dies in the first 10 minutes and you don't even care unless you just watched the Bourne Idenitity minutes before walking in.
It's worth seeing, but it doesn't make it less annoying.

I agree re: the hand held and cut up filming technique. That stuff is fine as an accent but it makes this movie almost nauseating. It also detracts from the flow of the film, because it is difficult to tell what is going on.
I love Matt because I think he can act and of course he's lovely to look at, and I really wanted to love this movie, but I think it was flat. The characters were under-developed, the dialogue was clipped, the camera was way too close, there was no need to kill Marie and the action was too in your face and chopped up.

What I didn't get about I, Robot was why they bothered to call it that in the first place. I mean, they completely ignored the story from the book and instead decided to make a CGI action-fest (although without as much action as the trailers would have you believe) With Will Smith trying to save the world from killer robots. If that's the kind of movie they wanted to make then fine but why call it I, Robot? It's like someone aquiring the rights to Pride and Prejudice and making a film about an alien invasion with a love story in there.
Ok--Read this for a true review!

Short, sweet, and true review--and no spoilers (don't read any further down because there are tons of spoilers!!).
I just saw the movie.....I'm a huge fan of Idenity (own it), and Supremacy doesn't disappoint except for horrible camera work in the chase and fight scenes. But definitely worth going to--but sit in the back!! I've read from others it's much better to see with that camera work!
