Rocky VI? Rambo IV? WHY THE HELL NOT!?! These are the kinds of ideas that could salvage Stallone's cold, rotting corpse of a movie career. Since his Rambo/Rocky days, Stallone has stunk up the sliver screen with toilet run-off like Judge Dredd, Demolition Man, and (OMG) Spy Kids 3-D!!! At that point I thought to myself "WOW! I wonder if Sly would consider coming to my birthday party, after all... THAT BUFFOON WILL TAKE ANYTHING THAT COMES HIS WAY AT THIS POINT! 10 years ago, if someone walked up to you and said Stallone was going to play an ugly hair-dye sporting "villian" from a video game against two little teenie-boppers playing secret agent man, odds are you'd beat them to within an inch of their lives. WELCOME TO THE FUTURE, MY FRIENDS! IT SUCKS!!!

Don't diss Demoltion Man, that movie rocks. Anyway, didn't Stallone decide he wanted to get out of action flicks and become a more serious actor like De Neiro? Wasn't he in some gangster style movie a while back where he played a fat, deaf policeman who no one respected?

On his 50th Birthday, Rocky Balboa misses the glory days of his rise to fame. Although he suffers from brain injury from Ivan Drago (Rocky IV) and additional injuries from Tommy Gunn (Rocky V), Rocky fate lies yet again in the ring. As he enters the new "You gotta be kidding" division of boxing, Rocky squares up against Old man Johnson (played by Leslie Nielsen). With his new manager (Andy Griffith) in his corner, Rocky must battle back through adversity, fatigue and the awful smell of BenGay. Co-Starring Bea Arthur as Old Man Johnson's wife, Mike Tyson as the inept promoter and Johnny Carson as Old Man Johnson's manager. Rated PG-13 for scenes of applying Ben Gay to Rocky's wrinkling body.

I think rocky VI should be made; the series was amazing, every movie, every second of it was worth watching. I suggest they make a rocky VI. The series has had a place in my heart for years and I wouldn't mind seeing what happens after the fight with tommy gunn. Shave sly, give him some makeup, and he's ready for VI!

At the end of rocky III. Apollo had him trained to float around on the balls of his feet and block and counter punches, he was even able to sway and bob and weave. In rocky IV he fought the russian and guess what. He forgot how to do all that it was the the (BLOCK IT WITH YOUR FACE ROCK) thing all over. Although I would love to see a Rocky VI it would be great to see him fight twice and get his family back out off the poor side of town.

Yea, and Rocko is 58 in this month. Maybe it would be great to see a rocky 6. They could the A great story line for it and every thing. I can just see it now. Some poor guy about his size has been beat to death to many punches to the head. He is dieing to fight and hears of Rocky ready to "GO FOR IT" again. And thats how that fight comes to be dont miss it. Stallone as Rocky....VS....George Jefferson as Americas Midget. Its going to be a Brawl for it all........Now thats headlines.

You all need to understand something (especially those who feel a "Rocky VI" is unnecessary): The film's budget is substantially lower than any of the previous Rocky films. So please end the talk about outgrossing other films. A film's success first depends on the initial entry in a franchise, or in some rare instances, a cultural pop-phenomenon that everyone is familiar with and will go to see the film anyways. In the case of a potential "Rocky VI", Stallone would do it for the fans and the fans only, given again its low-end budget and his passion involved. Let's not be fooled here, Sly may be older, but that still doesn't take away anything from his committment to the character. He is Rocky Balboa. And if he wishes to get back in the ring, even at his age, he will always live up to what the true "Measure of a Man" will be.
Any real Rocky fan loves all of the films, not singling out any of them. You watch them and see his life unfolding before your eyes. So in the case of the next film, I'm sure he will take that into consideration when we are invited back into the life of Rocky Balboa (and hopefully his son, who will become champion of the world someday.)
Tell me none of you Rocky fans wouldn't shed a tear imagining his dad watching his son and raising the title belt telling his dad...he did it.

After 13 yrs of Rocky movies he ends up right where he started, in the ghetto and BROKE, all he did in this movie was got betrayed n won a street fight, it didn't even have any of the great music, it doesnt feel like your watchn a Rocky movie...IT SUCKED!!!

OK, If Rocky gonna street fight, why not instead just step in the ring one last time...beat Tommy Gunn, get rich again, win back the title and retire WORLD's HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION, that would be a good ending.

dreamworks to take on Rocky 6?

It?s starting to look more and more likely, that Dreamworks (who executive produces ?The Contender?, Sly?s new reality series) will be the company to say ?yes? to ?Rocky 6?- and star Stallone?s all for it.
Sly says he?s undeniably still interested in doing the fifth sequel in the ?Rocky? series ? despite the legal quandary he?s had in recent times. "We're pushing towards that. I think it will come to fruition? It's pretty much based on what George Foreman is doing and has done with his life. So, to me, it gives it credibility. It takes it away from just about boxing. It's about a certain ideal?, he tells Zap2it.com.
He adds, "As you get older, you realize that life changes. Quite often you're not ready to step aside," he opines. "You're not maybe ready to watch the parade go by. It's about redemption and also trying to follow one's dream to the very end. What you lack in skill you may not make up in will?
Thanks to ?AB King?

I just recently had a talk with old Sly and this is what he told me. He said that Eminem was gonna play his son and become a rapper who goes multiplatinum. Also he told me that Mr. T, Tommy Gunn, and that Russian guy start a terrorist group and Balboa himself has to fight all of them at once in order to keep them from blowing up the world.

After 14 years since our heroic pugilist hung up his gloves, I think it's time to bring back the greatest sportsman in movie history to prove that the human spirit can still overcome the power of evil, even in this pessimistic world. ie. We want Rocky VI, a.s.a.p.!

I've watched these movies at different times throughout my life. I still remember seeing rocky iv in the hometown theatre when I was 6 years old, during the cold war. Maybe they should have stopped with rocky iv, but now that they've made rocky v, they should go ahead and make vi. MGM is extremely dim-witted for causing problems in making the film. Even if it isn't good (it will be because it is the last one that Stallone wants to make and the Rocky movies pretty much made his career), it will make a lot of money because people, whether die-hard rocky fans or not, will want to see it at least for curiosity's sake. Why don't they just put it to a vote to see how much support another rocky movie has? Dreamworks should go ahead and make the movie; people have been looking forward to it for quite some time. Considering where the country is at right now with all the bullshit terrorist pieces of shit, another inspirational rocky movie would be great! rocky v seems representational of where the country was at in the 90s. It's time that they make another one that is representational of all those in this great country that still believe in the American Dream. These people still exist despite all the pessimistic bullshit people like to talk about their own country. At heart any real American still holds that American Dream that the rocky movies have done such a good job of representing. The great silent majority of Americans that still believe in our country should step forward and will sooner or later. Perhaps rocky vi cannot happen because people no longer have enough pride in their own country? This movie cannot get enough support from a pessimistic nation run by money-blinded companies like MGM that stand in between a person and the realization of their dreams; how can a movie that promotes American values and the American Dream regain the support of a country that has forgotten its origin and lost the ability to believe and to dream? I don't know, but I hope that it happens. If it doesn't then I guess that in itself is representational of what direction this country is headed. A country that makes a mockery of the individual and a hero out of the cooperation; a country that can no longer believe in dreams because it believes them childish; a country that says it is too sophisticated give respect to its origin. Where are those that still believe? All this over rocky vi. Sounds kind of ridiculous. People will say so. I say this: how can any movie which so strongly supports its country and its people's aspirations be made a mockery by its own people. If you don't support our country, why don't you just get the hell out?!! Unlike other countries, we do give our citizens the right to leave at any time they see fit.

pffftt! yea i'd prolly have to agree with u there. Rocky 1-4 was good, rocky 5 kinda sucked a bit, interesting concept which they should have expanded on a little more. Rocky 6? its a good idea? Hey stallone has potential, i dunno why his career juss went down but i think if rocky 6 is good, he'll be back on track. Rumours say that vin deasel is playing the opponent for this installment, i say, if u wanna make it good, cut vin deasel out, he juss plain sucks.

i grew up watching rocky, i may not have been born when the installments were made but i certainly liked what i saw on the screen when i did watch it. Rocky series, amazing storyline, it shows stallone's potential and his opinions and it shows the problems people face in today's world. THat's the funny thing, th rocky movies are depicting life as it is today even. Rocky 5, i have to say was a little on the downside, it had an interesting storyline but they should have expanded upon it a little more. It doesn't matter bout the action, its the importance of the storyline and the thoughts behind it that made rocky a popular series. As for Rocky vi, go for it stallone. I have been yur fan throughout. I dun care whether its like the first 2 low budget films or if it's like the 3rd and 4th or 5th, as long as another movie is being made, i'm happy with it. Make it good, use yur experiences in life for yur scripts, good luck!

i agree, can we get some solid facts, and can the producers think about having a decent soundtrack for once ? no cheesey american anthems !! If they need help i can write the damn thing, how about this fora start ; predator attacks new york, arnie has a go but fails, sly gets angry and challenges alien to a match, they fight and cause sly is old he loses. also while fighting adrian gets a face full of alien acid blood and becomes disfigured, no, rocky is really annoyed. while retraining predator comes and kills alien, batman kills predator, batman dies of old age robin becomes he replacement who teams up wit spiderman, thye keep the world safe for a while, tackling enemies such as venom and big bird from sesemie street (the source of all evil)robin accidently kills spiderman in a game of twister, which obviousley annoyes rocky even more wh challenges robin toa boxing match, hence the grand finally ? i have more if any producers need a script ?

In Rocky 4, ROcky commeneted " I see 3 of them out there" This was a clue to all Rocky fans that Rocky will fight 3 Russian fighters at once. It is said Dolph Lungren is going to be in Rocky 6. well, all they need is 2 more Russian fighters and you have the story line for the next Rocky.
