Kim Cattrall ruins hopes for Sex in the City movie

Kim Cattrall (best known to readers of this site by her role in "Big Trouble in Little China") has decided to pursue other endeavors rather than sign on for a feature length "Sex in the City" movie. ?Her initial interest in the project faded after the hold period on her contract had come and gone. ?Fans of the HBO series who are familiar with Cattrall's promiscuous character, Samantha, noted that this was the first time they had seen Cattrall do the pulling out.

The other three stars of "Sex in the City" were all on board for the movie, but producers decided that they would rather not do the project than replace Cattrall's character with another actor.

Among Cattrall's upcoming projects is "Ice Princess," ?the story of a young girl's dream to become a figure skater, starring people you've probably never heard of.

With that type of supporting role (Cattrall does not play the young figure skater) in the works, it's no wonder she cannot set aside some time to do a movie of the wildly popular television series.
