No one knows whether it will be really really good or really really bad but Alien vs Predator is without a doubt one of the more anticipated titles winging its way towards us this year. After a teaser trailer that revealed, well nothing really, we are now graced by an Internet exclusive trailer that shows us a wee bit more.

When was this movie actually green lit? Because as far as I was aware it wasn't too long ago and if it's going to be released this summer then we're not really talking a long production here. Does this mean it's more likely to be crap or not?

I kind of agree
I heard it was going to be a 12A which means compared to Alien or Predator it will probaply lose some of the horror/violence
On the hand the alien facing off against the predator will make an awesome fight so who knows...

I heard that it was set on an artic base and there are some human scientists in the mist of it all, so all the dialogue will probably come from them.

12A is like the same as PG-13 but that's not the point, if the movie's going to be rated like this then that means the violence and gore will be much less than the other Alien/Predator movies.

Alien vs. predator...sounds cool, but I always liked the alien more. I hope they dont skimp out on the gore though.

i'm a big fan of the avp games. i don't know if the movie will ruin the frachises but i for want to see the predator decapitate an alien.i figure if the plot sucks, the action will be decent.

So this is a sequel to the Predator movies and a Prequel to the Alien ones? Sounds cool. Also I though it was good in Predator 2 when the guy was in the spaceship and you could see an Alien skull on the wall.

The movie will probably suck ass. Although I'll go watch it at the cinema, just because of the pleasure I feel when I see an Alien at such a big size ;)

well my view on the film is taht it should be an 18 rating. i dont think it will match the likes of aliens 2 and predator 1,2.Those films cannot be remade without the stars like sigourney weaver and arnold. I have watched aliens 107 times and its the best film ever to grace science fiction but wot really puts a smile on my face is the skull of an alien in the predators cabinet at the end of predator 2. Did anyone see a second suprise in the cabinet be warned even u will be suprised well i hope the film turns out to be great

scientists discover acient piramid in antartic, discover artifacts, see aliens&preds fighting...there ar 5 teenage predators-came down 2 prove they ar ready 2 become "man-preds/worriors"...now i believe the film will b better than expected, even tho "aliens & predators cant speak (english)" i will b dissapointed if it is 12A i hope it will b atleast 15 minimum, the reason it wont b an 18 is that it wont receive as much money due to being so highly rated (unfortunately)...so thats my view, oh and the games are amazing, 1st one being the scariest especially when u go the marine...almost forgot thats the most dissapointing thing about the film, NO MARINES

I don't get why they're releasing so many featurettes online that show the director giving away all the plot points. It just seems to me like they're a bit desperate and are trying to hard to appeal to everyone.

Everyone saying how they want the Aliens to end up winning or that they want the preators to win should just bare in mind that this is a HOLLYWOOD movie. It's so obvious that the movie is going to end with the last predator setting off his self destruct sequence and wiping both aliens and preds out.

I personally believe that this movie is exactly what every sci-fi fan has been waiting for. It began with the dark horse comics and now that hollywood has seen the potential profit output that is to come from the movie they have finally started something that will linger on. It doesn't matter who wins but more the fact that it was done. Me and several sci fans have always wondered what it would look like to have the collective alien race against the bruitish savage predators. This movie is the answer to all the questions that remain about the aliens and predator. who's the strongest.
