The very first teaser material (likely released to celebrate the recent start of principal photography kick-off) has be captured and posted online. "Before the Knight, there was the Dawn." Nice line.

Memento's fucking fantastic, one of the most original movies you're ever likely to see. As for the poster, I know it's probably not, but it looks fake, like something anyone could knock up in a couple of hours on Photoshop.
Is it a faux-ster?

Dont know if this is real or not. But it seems clever in that the bat sign is also what looks like the scarecrows mouth (hence the sack-cloth around it). Trouble is, although the scarecrow is in the movie, he's not the main villain. And thats for definite. I find that a little odd.
Not sackcloth

Yeah, that's not sackcloth. The costume concept I read about said there won't be armor like the other movies, rather it'll be "prototype cloth chain-mail". What you're seeing is the weave of whatever high-tech material it's supposed to be made from. See the resemblance to chain-mail?

Memento was incredibly dull, the same technique was recently done in 21 grams, similarly dull. Must say though there is a DC element in those films, interrupted scenes and all that, almost like reading graphic novels. Looking forward to see the Batman movie.

yea they can hav a poster with out making the movie first or not. It all depends on how they want to make the poster look. fyi: release date: june 17,2005! and here are some people that are staring in it and their characters: Explores the origins of the Batman legend and the Dark Knight's emergence as a force for good in Gotham. Christian Bale stars as Bruce Wayne/Batman; Michael Caine as his trusted butler Alfred; Gary Oldman as Lieutenant James Gordon, a detective on the Gotham police force; Katie Holmes as a childhood friend of Wayne's; Liam Neeson as Wayne's mentor, Henri Ducard; Ken Watanabe as the villainous Ra's Al Ghul; and Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox, a former board member and sidelined employee of Wayne Enterprises. So there you go.
