Gibson's Passion Tops Box Office

Mel Gibson's The Passion of Christ If you're gonna adapt a movie from a previously published work, basing it on the best selling book of all time isn't a bad idea, and Mel Gibson's controversial The Passion of the Christ and his $117.5 million haul in its first five days proves that wisdom once again.

Estimated ticket sales are in millions of dollars, for Friday through Sunday at North American theaters.
