Sofia obviously wouldn't have produced such a fine picture or received such a grand award without a little help from daddy-poo. Also, why is it every time a well-known actor or actress (Charlize Theron) plays a retard, an ugly person, or an ugly retard they get their perfectly skin-conditioned hands on an oscar?

What you say about Sofia Coppola is true to some extent but there are also loads of guys out there who are the sons or daughters of famous directors or actors and not many are able to make it on there own, she obviously had a good mentor but given credit where it's due.
I agree with your other point though, it seems that if any actor or actress is willing to make themselves look like an ordinary person then they are deserving or special praise.
