CILLIAN MURPHY TO BE A BATMAN VILLAIN! Updated!!

28 Days Later star Cillian Murphy has landed the role of one of the caped crusader's villains in the upcoming fifth installment of Warner Brothers' Batman movie franchise, Variety reported. The Irish actor would become the fourth actor cast in the Christopher Nolan-helmed project, which stars Christian Bale in the title role and Katie Holmes as the love interest.

Rumors suggest that Cillian Murphy has been cast as the Scarecrow (a second bannana villian that only appears in the beginning) and the the main villian, Ra's Al- Ghul, has yet to be cast.  Sources claim Viggo Mortensen (see Aragon in the LOTRs) and ass-kicking character-actor Chris Cooper (see Adaptation, American Beauty) are up for the role. An annoucement is expected within days.
