Christopher Reeve has blamed George W. Bush for his continuing paralysis - claiming the president has blocked research into stem cell technology which could help him. The Superman star, who was left in a wheelchair after a horse riding accident seven years ago, says Bush has ignored an essential aspect of the US Constitution by paying too much attention to the views of Christians in America who oppose use of stem cells. He says, "We've had a severe violation of the separation of church and state in the handling of what to do about this emerging technology. Imagine if developing a polio vaccine had been a controversial issue. There are religious groups - the Jehova's Witnesses I believe - who think it's a sin to have a blood transfusion. What if the President for some reason decided to listen to them, instead of to the Catholics, which is the group he really listens to in making his decisions about embryonic stem cell research? Where would we be without blood transfusions?" Reeve says he believes trials using stem cell technology would be under way by now if the research had received full US government support.

Superman wasn't a cripple, so calling Christopher Reeves by his characters name is pretty lame.
On top of thise, Separation of Church and State doesn't exist in the constitution. The only thing the state cannot do is force a state sponsored religion.
There is no religion dictated in any of Bush's statements. Simply because someone makes a decision based on morals, suddenly everyone jumps up and goes "Church and State!" "Church and State!". It's about as funny as listening to someone recite the "Bring Out Your Dead" from Monty Python's Holy Grail.
Lest us not forget that the reason Cripple Boy even needs stem cell research is cuz he bought a horse that was easily spooked. Seems like a fault of Cripple Boy, not George Bush.

I'm not surprised at all. I think the result of the election tells a lot about how people perceive him.

How come we haven't heard anything about Enron in 10 months?
No, seriously... why? The President, for all of his "super powers" can't exactly put the kabosh on the press and make them stop talking.
Maybe because 1) Enron was another "Non Issue" perpetrated by democrats to gain a political edge, 2) Enron has more influence with democrats, and low and behold, the slander would cut both ways.
Take your pick, either works for me.

Even in Argentina both Bushes were involved in a corruption issue, related to the privatization of a hidroelectric dam, Yacireta, in 1994.

Any idea what stem cells really are? Any idea where you can get these? Any idea how much millions of children with a genetic problem could be cured with these stem cells?
i doubt it and you know why...cause, just like Bush (who raped the 1st amendement "freedom of speech", who repeatly lied to the american people, who destroys the planet, that has clearly said "education is not a priority for me")
YOU DON'T EVEN THING BEFORE TAKING A JUDGEMENT!

Reeves is upset God dealt him a rough deck of cards in his later life. He doesn't want to be crippled. Nearly all morals are based on religion to some degree. Because why is killing wrong if we have no religion? Why is anything wrong. Stem cell research should be prohibitted because they want to get stem cells from aborted fetuses.
