WHAT! Peacemaker is probably the worst drival Clooney's done. It nearly took Dreamworks out of the business before it even got started.
I did like Three Kings though. And, goddamn it, Marky Mark should have shot that f*cker that tortured him right in the f*cking face in that movie. As for Oceans 11, it worked for Clooney because that as-shole of a character is really him all the way.
I am sorry to here about his Aunt passing away recently though. She was a funny, charming lady.

They do now. But Peacemaker blows super chunks.
Minority Report wasn't bad at all. They have sure come a long way.
I'm loath to admit it, but Cruise/Spielberg pulled it off although all of that overexposed blues, whites and yellows made for an uninteresting visual dynamic.

I dont really like Clooney, like some one said earlier the one dimension actor doesnt epeal to me to much. But I usually like his movies the scripts are pretty much wrote for him. I really like him in oceans 11 along with don cheadle and brad pitt. (changing subject) I think brad Pitt is the oppisite of Clooney, his careet started really sh*tty but he turned it around with fight club. There im done.....

You're absolutely right about Lem being a Polish author, but the line "...remake of the 1972 Russian sci-fi epic Solaris" refers to the same Tarkovsky's movie you mentioned in your comment, not the book. I guess.
Only complaints are for the amount of cuts

The actors did a great job, the sets were fantastic and the cinematography beautiful. Too short. Too many scenes removed (you can see they were filmed when you see the "making of" shows and you can feel they are missing while watching).
Clooney did a great job. I am happy to see him branching out like this. He was great in Three Kings as well... that was the one that convinced me he's more valuable than the "sexiest tv star" nonsense that covered him during his ER stint.
