Dean Devlin talks Stargate Sequels

In an interview with Cinescape magazine Devlin expressed an interest in making Stargate a trilogy, which had already been intended until MGM decided to make the television series Stargate SG-1 based off the film.

"Tell all the fans to write to MGM," said Devlin. "I?m ready to make part two and three anytime. I have the stories. It?s all worked out. The actors want to do it. We just need MGM to say yes. Write, call, get on their website, get them to do it and I?ll be the first one in line to do it."

I like the movie, and I like the series, so I think is a good idea. But which one of the casts?

The original one. It was meant to be a trilogy.

Yeah, but a lot happened in the show, and you need to explain it from the people who will see the movie but didn't watch the series. Like Spiderman...

It will be completely unassociated with the series. None of that stuff will have happened.

Considering the box office compared to its cost of the first one and the subsequent boringness of the TV series, it might have been better if none of it ever happened.

Then where's the profit?

Dummy, thanks for making my point that much clearer.

Please, enlighten me. If you were Dean Devlin, why would you be doing SG-2?

Even posting the same thing twice doesn't make you half as smart.

Go ahead and try it again.

"reverse spelling witch"?  What the f*ck is that all about?  Your Mom need a job too, skullflamer?

I clicked twice, a mistake that never happened to anyone, of course. Specially to you, with your sensitive fingers. Bah!
I said "witch" cause it looks like you have to turn everything that's been done or said to you, against the other.
Don't you watch Charmed? You should, Alyssa Milano is so hot.

I'm charmed by the fact that skullflamers got clones.  This is the worse posts yet by one od you fairy godmothers.  You've actually got to write like him too not just sound stupid.

Yeah, you have the monolpoly of sounding stupid here.

But you have the best properties on the board, skullflamer.  I'll trade you Boardwalk and Park Place for a get-of-jail-free card.

So? I never planned to visit you there, that's why I don't care about your dollar. I think in euros now.

If you're a millionaire, then come to Argentina and invest.

Reread the whole thread again you dope.  Have you never played the board game, Monopoly?

It's made by Parker Brothers and has been around for some 70 odd years.  It's something like the number one American made board game played around the world.

Christ, why do I bother being your master, young padawan.

Damn, how your ignorance makes me chuckle so.

You're my game, stupid.   > reply

Posted by Skullfire (hulacete@ubbi.com) on July 3, 2002 6:27 PM

Funny you think someone is ignorant if he/she doesn't know your culture. Well, using your logic, you don't know crap about my culture, and that makes you an ignorant too.

The way you guys eat up our culture with a spoon.  For eample, like say, movies!  I'm horrified by your ignorance.  It's worse than I imagined.

Besides what's to know about lazy, dumb racists.  You're right!  I wouldn't know a thing about them.

It would be my best
advice to Devlin and Emerlich to give up on
the sequels unless they
are willing to confront
the implicit bigotries
displayed in their first
film Stargate.
  All that Implied hate
and mass murder rotted my stomach.
 Antway, they were
already warned about it.
