What can I say? It's always sad when someone dies from cancer, specially if it's a celebrity (but who didn't have a relative or friend who had suffer the disease). I Didn't watch too much Spencer, but I remember how I laughed with "Ice Pirates" and his guest-role as a judge in a chapter from "The Nanny". He looks to me like he was a gentlemen, which can't always be said about everyone, I thought he had won his battle; now we'll have to miss him.

I have to be honest. While I'm familar with his name and his work, I've never seen anything he's been in.

Sorry Robert!

Why is it especially sad when a celebrity dies from cancer Jack?

Little known has-been. Will anyone miss him?

If life is a journey then cancer is a damn Ferrari.

Life and it's meaning!   > reply

Well, since I know the meaning of life and the answer to all it's problems I'll answer this one.. er.. wait! I don't...

Probably because cancer can strike anyone at anytime and there's nothing anyone can do about it.. celebrities have the power to make a big deal about how they are dealing with it and people pay attention and miss them.

Cancer is not something that just appears, it builds up over many years due to neglect of the health of the lypmphatic system. By the time most find out they have it, only then do they alter their food regimine, hoping they'll be able to undo years of poor eating habits, and then of course many have genetics they've inherited tainted with caner. Robert had some good roles in "Ice Pirates" and TV's "Spencer for Hire", I thought he was a good actor.

That was quick! Do you have a T1?

Try this "All we got around here is a bunch of rules and regulations"

knock it off. I checked him out on IMDB, the guy has been in about 60 made for TV movies. I'm not sure what your point was 100%.

Posted by Bender (40%@zinc.com) on April 17, 2002 2:18 PM

Wake up DD ya f*cking clown, he was commenting to Jacks post about cancer, his retort in a nutshell (kind of like you) was that most of us get cancer because we eat like sh*t for 20 years, downing carcinigens on a daily basis while jamming up our lymph system, and then say "why me" when our system is on the ropes. 100% is right on the money, but he's not some guru, this is widley known and recognized fact. Too bad the public at large has not been let on yet to the proper way our digestive systems work, and our lyphatic system is maintained.

As far as Robert goes, I didn't know of his work, but it sucks for anyone to pass on when so young.

100% AMERICAN is an idiot, and America is the land of the brain washed butt heads. Down here in Argentina we know what's really going on!

It's getting really old Random Shemps, can't you just discuss the threads?

I only saw Spencer for Hire a few times, but I thought it was pretty good. I think his partner on the show was Captain Sisco from Deep Space 9. When your ready to jam, American, I'll be right here.

Shut...actually that was pretty good. I'll be waiting 100% American and any other Americans that think the good ole US of A is better than us! Bloody cheers guv.

Here's hoping you can juggle, Union Jackie, ya ass wipe.

Let's clear this:

First of all, I don't hang up with Jet Li. Second, I don't critizice US & UK without my nick, don't need to hide. Third, I'm glad everyone enters my post. And last, to Union Jackie, stop crying about Beckham! He will make it, and we'll have a hell of a game in the Cup!

?????????????????????????????   > reply

Posted by Union Jackie (GodsavetheQueen) on April 17, 2002 6:28 PM

I never mentioned Beckham. The Cup however would make a good and refreshing thread. Though these yanks here probably wouldn't understand it much. We'd have to use short, easy to understand words, mostly for Fred Hater, TINY, RED, and Power Stink. What position d'you play?

RE: ?????????????????????????????   > reply

Posted by Skullfire (hulacete@ubbi.com) on April 17, 2002 7:10 PM

All of them.

RE: ?????????????????????????????   > reply

Posted by power-trip (powertripz@hotmail.com) on April 17, 2002 11:57 PM

UJ plays on all fours, right?  That way she'll get "all of them" too.

Oh and for Jack and his thread mongering:  Farewell Bobby.  I'll miss those sonic toothbrush ads--lord knows Jackie could probably have used one.

Is USA sending their female team to the World Cup?

RE: ?????????????????????????????   > reply

Posted by Doc (No Email) on April 18, 2002 10:09 AM

Sincce no one in our country gives a damn about womans sports, like Soccer, who knows if anyone will represent us in that silly contest. But who knows...

RE: ?????????????????????????????   > reply

Posted by Skullfire (hulacete@ubbi.com) on April 18, 2002 7:26 PM

That "silly event" is hundred times bigger and important than Superbowl. And for your knowledge, your "american boys" lost 1-2 with Ireland in a friendly match. Women play it cause your men doesn't have what is needed to do it.

RE: ?????????????????????????????   > reply

Posted by A random shemp (No Email) on April 19, 2002 3:17 AM

Don't worry Skully, Americans just don't understand the World cup because unlike the World series, it actually involves other countries! How nutty is that!?

RE: ?????????????????????????????   > reply

Posted by Skullfire (hulacete@ubbi.com) on April 19, 2002 6:28 PM

So... when Cuba's national baseball team beat the Orioles last year in their stadium that made them World Champions!!! Cuba rules!!! Go Castro!!!

RE: ?????????????????????????????   > reply

thats amusing. According to Soccer Digest, the authority on soccer: All you need to play soccer is determination and a vagina.

RE: ?????????????????????????????   > reply

Posted by Skullfire (hulacete@ubbi.com) on April 22, 2002 12:38 PM

What? Your pride is down cause your girlfriend defeated you on that silly sport?

Soccer who?

RE: ?????????????????????????????   > reply

Posted by A random shemp (No Email) on April 23, 2002 4:28 AM

Soccer is the most popular sport on the planet. Fact.
