If you ever thought pop-up ads on the Internet were annoying, then check out the possiblities for future irritation in this report by Universal Press Syndicate reporter, Chuck Shepard.
A State University of New York at Buffalo professor, in a recent ecology journal, expressed confidence that eventually butterflies could be genetically altered to permit advertising logos and other designs on their wings. ?And in March, the British video-game company, Acclaim Entertainment, announced it would "raise advertising to a new level" by offering to pay relatives of the deceased a fee if it could put small billboards on gravestones.
Although an ad for Raid on a butterfly might be cool, one could only hope they have the good taste not to offer the royal family an ad for "Crazy Taxi" on Princess Di's tombstone.
