10 movies   > reply

I saw "Gosford Park" and "Ice Age" over the weekend and they were both pretty good, and saw the preview for "Signs" coming out this August with Phoenix and Gibson. It's about the UFO/Aliens theory linking with crop circles. The premis is very cool, but the way the director who also did "Shattered" and "6th Sense" films it, it seems a little slow, still I'm optimistic, but what I'm really getting wet for it "Frailty", a new horror movie that's about to come out with a good cast and a cool, creepy story. I think it's gonna be great. Also Samuel Jackson and Ben Afleck are not in either movie which is a big, big plus.

Your candor is really very refreshing. What did you think of "Bound", if you don't mind me asking?

I've been hearing a bit about you 100% American, we have something in common, I too am 100% American, at least I consider myself to be. I don't mind your question at all, I thought "Bound" was good, but the title was a major tease, cause movies like that really get me going. My life revolves around stuff like that, you can see similiar variations to it at www.carolinabound.com

Do you like submission?

Posted by 100% AMERICAN (hellskitchen_@hotmail.com) on April 8, 2002 1:35 PM

No, it's not my thing, but here in NYC, there is a lot of clubs that have themes that play out that stuff, I've seen them before, and they are pretty intense.

I saw "Ice Age" as well, and thought that the voice overs were the best I've ever heard in a CGI/Animation movie yet. Even better than classic Disney movies from the 60's. "Gosford Park", I had a tough time getting into, but I really liked how much of the details they incorporated from that era. A lot like "Charriots of Fire".

Yeah, I can see the similarities. I really liked the servants quaters, I thought they were very cool, plus I liked how snobby they made the rich folks out to be, not too realistic, but that makes for great story telling. So far, my opinions of you do not reflect what a few other posters think about you, do you like Sci-Fi, like "Farscape" & "Star Wars"?

RE: Submissive Girl   > reply

Posted by 100% AMERICAN (hellskitchen_@hotmail.com) on April 8, 2002 1:51 PM

The first two seasons of Farscape were excellent, but last season really sucked, of course I dig "Star Wars", and my favorite show is "Futurama", which is the ultimate: Simpsons humor mixed with a Sci Fi future. Fifth Element was good, Blade Runner was great, and I liked the LEXX a little before they got Earth involved in the show. Anyway, a while back I considered getting rid of my computer as it is a major waste of time, but have decided instead to get rid of my television, so as of July, I'll have to let Farscape, Futurama and all the others go.

I would do the reverse, but soon enough you'll be able to download all the good stuff right on to your computer anyway. I too loved "Blade Runner", easily one of the all time best movies, the "Matrix" was great too. I know where your coming from though, I have friends in Hawaii that will call me up, and say that they canoed over a whale on the silver / blue Pacific Ocean, before riding a wave onto a black sand beach, meanwhile I'm like: yeah, well I just saw a cool show, worked for 17 hours and got tied up. Sometimes I consider that as well, but you know what 100% American, I would miss TV too much, I love TV.

I hear ya, but the canoe story was friggin awesome, I'd love to do that instead of watch a sitcom anyday. My job is pretty demanding and I work around over 100 hours a week. It may be time for a change.

Anyway, I gotta get back to work, but I always like to end with a recemendation, and I'd appreciate getting one too. Submissive Girl, you should check out 2001, it's a great old Sci Fi, I'm sure you'll like it.

I saw part of that once and always wanted to see it all, thanks for the advice, I like your ideal about the recomendations. You should watch "Passion in a Desert", its a super, super cool movie starring Ben Daniels about a Man and a Jaguar that have a romance, I know, I know it sounds wierd, but I'm telling you, the movie is amazing, tell me what you think after you see it O.K.?  Also 100% AMERICAN, i too love "Futurama", it's the best show on television right now easily. Did you see the one when the microscopic world grows on Bender, that was amazing, and before someone jumps my bones about that first being a Simpsons episode, I know already, but since it's the same creator, I think that makes it fair game. After work, i'm going to rent "2001", now I'm psyched.

Fritzz

You have no class, but you already know that. I saw Ice Age too, and have to agree full throttle on the voices, they were really good. Leary was top notch, and at no point did they try to regurgitate any of his old shtick. Ice Age is a grwat CGI worth checking out. By the way, I may be alone in saying this, but I'm glad to see 100% back, it's pretty boring here without him. Now let the beat down commence!

I don't agree with most of his opinions myself, but he's essentially the meat and potatoes here at dtheatre, tells it like it is. The wars between him and the Nazi Shemps is what got me hooked on this site in the first place.

Everyone: Please write SPOILER above if you are describing an integral part of a movie that has recently come out, thanks...so...who exactly is 100% America, and why is he such a big deal?

RE: Submissive Girl   > reply

Posted by Dixie Dyanamite (No Email) on April 8, 2002 5:20 PM

It'all part of the rich, textured history of dtheatre. It all began back at a simpler time, a time when the middle east was much less noisy, and Final Fantasy was still but only a game. Ah yess..those were the days..eh? what was i talking about?

RE: Submissive Girl   > reply

100% is OG for Dtheatre.  Like me, he is a supercool f*cker.  Even if he is a dumbass sometimes!   Welcome back, 100%!

Try this sometime too.  It's my favorite line from a movie.  It's the scene in "Hardboiled" where Tequila tells his partner that "Life should be about fun."  and then breaks them out of that room using a couple of grenades.

100%, life should be about fun.  Spend some of it here reclaiming your rep from some of these other a$sholes...

I'm glad to see that he's back, but you all know that the fukers just a copy of me and always has been, and ever since Jack asked him to step down and leave the flame wars alone, he's been pretty fuking lame as far as I'm concerned, he's really not the same 100% American when we were discussing Downy Jr.  and if he does not answer this now, then he's telling everyone what a pussy he is. Well? What do u say tosser?

RE: 100% AMERICAN   > reply

Posted by A random shemp (No Email) on April 8, 2002 9:24 PM

100% never left, he only came back now to pick up some stupid submissive chick who thought he might get a little play from.  (Because he is obviously still a loner).  The loser is hiding behind many identities (Jet Li) and wont get into flame wars under his 100% American name because he would get burned by everybody in dtheatre.  Power-trip thinks he's the OG just like himself, well that doesnt say much, Ive seen both of these f*ckers get raped by shemps and registered users.
Honestly though, Im glad he's back because it would be good to see him get beaten up by everybody, along with powertrip and Tiny all the losers who think they are the OG's but really are just verbal  punching bags.
The flame wars between these racist Americans and the rest of the world is the best part of dtheatre.

Dude, there is no point in arguing or debating with Random Shemps, it's stupid. If this punk is too much of a pussy to register then just ignore his ass, and when he is registered as Skullfire, then, and only ten should you heed him.

To Greenstar & Bender (not my favorite superheroes): I always register myself with this nick. I don't need to hide under "random shemp" to express my opinion or have a discussion with someone. If you read all my posts, you'll see I criticize with my nick and logged in, and I'm against the unregistered people that only enters to attack the others.

Yeah, that post was by me not Skullfire.  You guys think your smart but you've just proven how much you are lacking in the intelligence department.  Duh-uh.
By the way, dtheatre belong to the random shemps, Powertick and 100% got nothing interesting to say unless they are trying defend themselves and convince everyone that they are cool and tough in real life.

I can't speak for powertick or 100% but I AM cool and tough in reel life.  Word to yo mama, home nugget.

Power Trip,

I appologize, the truth of the matter is that I'm the epitome of a Tool. In fact thats wht my parents call me since I still live with them, which I guess is pathetic, but then again you know me. I'm Osama Shemp and I'm a bigger loser than anyone on this site, and I like to lick c0ck.

Powertrip always gets told off by some random shemp.  He never learns, that idiot.  Then he tries to go around fooling everyone by typing a post to himself apologising.  I think he tried that before with that cop shemp a few times, now that was a classic Power-poof ass kicking.

P.S.

Powertrip:
You are not cool or tough, if you were we wouldnt hate you so much.  So go and screw your boyfriend (or girlfriend) 100% A$$HOLE.
