There's only so much of a good thing you can have before it gets old and doesn't continue to innovate and inspire those who come in contact with it. The only 5-minute parts of her show I ever saw were about the teens in boot camp, which was somewhat sickening. It was a ploy to boost her ratings that didn't go well with her strengths as a talk show host. And now she's done for.
But she has a good attitude, or maybe it's another desparate ploy to get some attention. Quoth the Sally, "I am proud that we were able to help so many guests and viewers find solutions to their problems and comfort in their lives. I am also proud to have created the production formats that most talk shows now use."
What format would that be? Finding people just like your viewing demographic to relate stories about their dumb lives in an "interview" format and asking for responses from the live audience? I'd hate to think of life without the talk show renaissance she has "created". It's an advent of daytime television nothing more. Crediting herself for this invention is just as absurd as Al Gore inventing the Internet.
Good bye, SJR. I'm sure you'll be missed by those thousands of people who don't prefer the eight more popular talk shows out there.

And related to this, I see Oprah has declared that she'll be hanging it up after (I think) 2006. Glory be, I think I see some light breaking through the clouds!!!

Sorry to destroy your fantasy Jet, you're gonna have to look somewhere else for a but-buddy. (Can we please keep to the discussions about the articles. I have never engaged you in personal abuse, I would be gratefull if you would do likewise. I enjoy reading the articles here and I do not enjoy getting abuse from bored individuals. Look Jet, I am asking nicely. Engage who you will in your games just leave me out of it).

Moose:
You are a funny, funny, FUNNY person, I cannot help it if your jokes make me LAUGH and LAUGH. You must be a comedian or something, and if you can't take a little compliment, you have far larger problems than one bad ass, pedophile, midget, martial arts super star. I look forward to more humor from you in the near future.
