Garfield Headed For the Big Screen

(EMPIRE) Following hard on the heels of CGI Scooby, Hollywood has plans to bring yet another cartoon character to life. Lasagne-guzzling Garfield and his comic strip team are being prepped for a big screen adventure by 20th Century Fox.

The movie, which is being written by Toy Story writers Joel Cohen and Alec Sokolow, will, like Warner Bros? Scooby Doo, be a live-action/CGI feature, with Garfield making his big screen debut in computer-generated form.

Too bad Lorenzo Music is dead. He was the perfect Garfield.

I heard that Bill Murry was going to do the voice of Garfield.

Perhaps Natalie Portman could do her "Queen Amidala" and get the job done as Garfield's voice.

At least it would be intentionally amusing.

Liking cats has nothing to do with disliking garfield it is  the infinite meanness of the writing ,and I like cats.I think jr might do for Odie got the loser look doun.I think with Altman directing jr. might actually find his niche.

I must've missed something because this
was a sad surprise to me. Then again,
I don't follow news very often but maybe
I should. Tell me, did he die for old age or
for some other reason? And when?
Anyway, I'm still looking forward to the movie. By the way, how popular Garfield
is nowadays in America? Some of the popularity of the cat in my country, Finland, tells that he has his own monthly
comic book magazine ( Has had for allmost 20 years, in living color of course).

Riku

p.s. Sorry about any grammatic errors etc in the text.
