From the director of Fight Club, Seven and Alien? comes the new thriller: Panic Room. Apparently the MPAA is being a bitch about releasing the trailer, but AICN scored a copy. Link goes directly to MPG.

They are showing the trailer in canada, I saw it this weekend before Spy Game.  Looked very run of the mill, basic story, basic plot.  Not something you would expect from this director.  It is only a trailer but it did not make me want to go and see the movie.

"Se7en" looked like a cheap thriller, and "Fight Club" looked like another simple action flick.
If there's one thing you should trust about David Fincher films, its never trust the trailer.

Oh, and, "Not something you would expect from this director."?
Let's not forget he still did make Alien3

Well, this kind of comment came from someone who does/can not understand Fincher's work. I bet this guy doesn't even have what it takes or the brain to criticize Fincher's film. Don't watch the film if you don't want to, just leave the criticism to those who are artistically inclined.

I?ve seen the Panic Room trailer six times already! And everytime it rocks me up. I?m so freaking excitet to see Mr. Finchers new flick.

I been to other sites to read more about The Panic Room.  Can somebody tell me why they mention in their sypnosis (sp?) of the film that it's a story about a mother and a daughter?  I've seen the trailer and it's not a daughter, but a son.

Fight Club, a simple action flick? Try not using any mind altering narcotics while indulging yourself in the masterful work of David Fincher. It will take you on a ride all on it's own. I don't even remotely see where you are coming from with this one. I know people that hate the movie but have never heard such a thoughtless assesment. Yeah...I'm a little confused about the sp too...but never mind, I've seen the trailer only once, and as soon as i got home i was online looking it up! I love it already and I am sitting here awaiting its release with eager anticipation. I enjoyed fight club, and i cannot wait to see Panic Room, I have no doubts of its success.

You guys are all so f*cking stupid.  The point he was trying to make is that only by viewing the trailer, Fight Club looked like a generic action flick, but once he saw the actual movie, he realized it was much more, hence the line "Dont' judge a David Fincher movie by its trailer."  For people who claim to value intelligent filmmaking, you are all pretty unintelligent.

I can wait for it, and wait and wait and wait, prob. got a really stupid ending like "Se7ven" did, like the woman get cooked alive or asphyxiated or something -- in part of the trailer, they seem to be gasping for breath.
Fincher's going to make a hash out of "RAMA," too!

Oh, I am so scared, Mr. Bigmough. IT'LL BE ANOTHER DUMB LAME FINCHER FILM LIKE SE7EN AND ALIENS 3, got it? (loved the three-legged murder victim in Se7en, by the way, and how the killer had to have been wandering around for most of the last day in the film with one hand skinned, and blood all down the front of his shirt, and NO ONE NOTICED.) Fincher should go back to being a horror SFX gaffer.
