I am baffled, truly baffled that "The Wash" is # 8. Many are comparing it to "The Sound of Music", and "Gone with the Wind". A good deal of the country thinks its one of the top five movies ever made. The list according to Movie-God, Magazine is:
1. Taxi Driver
2. Gone With The Wind
3. The Sound of Music
4. The Wash
5. Casablanca
# 8 on the list, it must be some kind of a mistake!!!!
Turn the machines back on!!! Turn the machines back on!!!

funny. i like the Trading Places line.
i actually saw "The Wash", I had to take my little brother who thinks he's a rapper (12, white, and slow), and I must say without a shadow of a doubt it was among the worst pieces of turtle cork I ever saw. Do youself a favor and run for the hills. I'm serious.

Not having any children, I'm not to hip on the whole Harry Potter thing. But at least I've heard of it. I've never even heard of "The Wash". And no, I don't live in a cave. The rest of the list makes sense to me. Is Harry Potter one that would be entertaining to adults too?

Are you really suprised that's it's not at the top of the chart? Many of the greatest movies ever made didn't do particulary well at the Box office. The Wash is one of those movies that'll do well on video rental.

Harry Potter is a fun movie. It's not changing lives or cinema, but it's definately worth the price of the ticket, and that's saying something, considering how much tickets cost now-a-days. If you don't have kids, let the hype fade a little and go see a late show, it'll be quieter.
