Please correct me if I'm wrong but is this David Hayter the same guy that did the voice for solid snake in the popular video game 'Metal gear solid"? Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Actually, we should really focus on discussing X-Men 4. While 2 is in the making, and a script for the 3rd is promised, X-Men 4 looms as simply a vague plausibility - an uncertainty worthy of exploration. Moreover, whether or not X-Men 4 is actually made will impact directly upon the reality of a fifth X-men film. For instance, if X-Men 4 is not made, it is likely that regardless of the existence of a script for a fifth installment in the X-Men series, the film will not be produced. You see, films of this nature must naturally follow a sequence. For example, 1-2-3-4-5. Not to be confused, however, with the Star Wars trilogies, which followed a dynamic, partially non-linear sequence - 4-5-6, then 1-2-3. Now returning to the sequential necessities for the manifestation of X-Men 5, X-Men 4 must logically follow X-Men 3...

...you're right, this is a stupid topic. Next?

RE: SOCCER?   > reply

That sport was invented by the british, long before that what you call football, in which, by the way, the hand is more used than the foot!

And we latins own the rights of soccer, 'cause we rule on it!

RE: SOCCER   > reply

Posted by A random shemp (No Email) on December 5, 2001 5:19 AM

If the British invented it then how could you own the rights to it? And as for you ruling it, Argentina went out of the last Worlp cup in the quarter finals whilst it was won by France.

RE: SOCCER   > reply

Posted by Skullfire (hulacete@ubbi.com) on December 5, 2001 4:45 PM

We won the rights with all the times we beated the british.
And French are latins, you know?

RE: SOCCER   > reply

Posted by A random shemp (No Email) on December 6, 2001 3:34 AM

The French are Latins!? mabye on your planet dude. And I seem to remember a match you played against the England team in the 80's where the only reason you one was because some greasy haired jerk called Maradona punched the ball into the net. I thought you said it was meant to be called FOOTball.

RE: SOCCER   > reply

Posted by Skullfire (hulacete@ubbi.com) on December 6, 2001 4:18 PM

First of all, Latins are every raze who descents from romans, like frenchies. And for Maradona's goal, I understand if you're an english that hurts you bad.
By the way, the second goal, that was an example of Football.

RE: SOCCER   > reply

Posted by A random shemp (No Email) on December 7, 2001 4:13 AM

I'm not English, I'm an American who likes soccer but I still think Maradona is a fat little cheating bastard who was high on cocaine for most of his career.

RE: SOCCER   > reply

Posted by A random shemp (No Email) on December 7, 2001 4:18 AM

...And by the way, Latins are NOT all those who desended from the Romans. France (or Gaul is it was known) was invaded by the Romans and became PART of the Roman empire. By your logic that would mean that Britain and most of Europe are Latins.

RE: SOCCER   > reply

Posted by Skullfire (hulacete@ubbi.com) on December 7, 2001 12:06 PM

The roots in France has been so mixed up over the years that still you could say they're latins. French is a romance language.
And if you think that of Maradona, you're british.

RE: SOCCER   > reply

Posted by A random shemp (No Email) on December 10, 2001 5:26 AM

We'll have to agree to disagree about the French. As for the other thing I am an American (although I do have many British friends and consider England as my second team when it comes to international soccer) and have never liked Maradona. Plus, having attended an international school in Europe when I was younger I can assure you that many other nationalties feel the same way towards Maradona. Pele was the true king of soccer.

RE: SOCCER   > reply

Posted by Skullfire (hulacete@ubbi.com) on December 10, 2001 11:35 AM

What Maradona represents, you could never have understand in that kind of colleges. How do you explain the thousand of fans he had in Europe? Remember that he played there (Barcelona, Napoli and Sevilla); in his tribute match last november, were a lot of international players.
Pele is a Fifa's servant, because he says and does what powerful people orders. As the rich, they want that only the best for they and nothing for the poors, so that's why they always help Brazil and some other important teams (exception: Argentina) to classify to or won the Cup.

RE: SOCCER   > reply

Posted by A random shemp (No Email) on December 11, 2001 4:21 AM

Pele, on the soccer pitch was truely greater than Maradona. Your boy had skill, don't get me wrong, but he let himself down in the end. In mine and most peoples eyes, Pele was the greatest player ever. As for Fifa, I agree that they are just a bunch of fools, mostly from Switzerland, and don't have a clue about the game.

I'll give you an example about Pele: in his own country, not all brazilians thinks of him as greatest than Maradona; on the other hand, I agree about the Fifa and about Maradona destroying his career and personal life at the end.
But we're humans, aren't we? That's why Maradona was a drug addict and Pele is an ass kisser.
