Sarah Connor says No Thanks to T3

While it's been known that Linda Hamilton won't be reprising her role as Sarah Connor in Terminator 3, this weekend the actress told a UK paper exactly why she's not interested.

While I'd like to see her in a small role in T3, I think she'd made a good decision; she topped herself in t2 from the first one. Unless the give her a challenging role as an older mother, there's little place for her in the next film. I sure hope t3 happens and doesn't suck.

It's rumoured that the Producer's are considering hiring her twin sister to play Sarah Conner. They plan to give her limited dialogue and kill her character off halfway through the film.

Fair enough, if the movie isn't going to do anything with her character why should she do it?. It's not like she needs the money.

I do think she is right, even if her career needs a jump start or not. This could just look as a desperate actress hanging on to a role that gave her that big break. Besides, she's right "IF" the story is to go on. (which may be a big mistake in this case) Then it SHOULD be about the son John & HIS battles.

Let the whole damn thing die and find another way to make a film with Arnie as some other unstoppable force.

Cameron obviously wrote T2 as a conclusion to the series, and not as some "bridge" to the final showdown with Skynet.

T3 will be yet another shining example of how to kill a neat story by franchising it into sequel-itis ad nauseum.

By the way, does Linda Hamilton really have a twin sister?

I didn't know she had a sister so I checked the credits on T2, her name is Leslie Hamilton Gearren.

In my opinion, they should set the whole movie in the future war. Who cares about Linda Hamilton anyway- she'd have only had a small part anyway.

Did she divorce James Cameron before or after he was King of the World (self-declared on Oscar night)? Besides, wasn't Cameron married to that horrible actress Kate Capshaw that was in the Indiana Jones--oh, sorry that was Steven Spielberg.
