I remember the old Spidey TV show, the one where the costume had salt-shaker tops for eyes. Boy, was that ever cheezy. This is a little better...but not much. You'd think with modern movie technology, they'd have used a worthy villain. I'm thinking, oh, I dunno, maybe VEMOM? Or DR. OCTOPUS? Instead we get this JUST PLAIN AWFUL Green Goblin. They could've at least put him in an orange cape-n-hood or something. I'm riding the fence on this one, between 'wait' and 'see.' (I'm leaning towards 'wait'...for DVD rental.)

Spiderman looks just like the comics, but Green Goblin...? It kinda reminds me of Infra-man.
I don't know, but I probably see it opening week-end anyway.

If you've seen the trailer, you'll recall that the spidey costume looks much better then the still shot posted with this article. And as for the Green Gobblin, it's supposed to look like a costume, the Green Goblin character has an alter-ego business-man side of him, as Spidey is to Peter Parker.

A1.) The Spider-Man Costume Rules.
A2.)- -That's Just A Bad Photo Of The Green Goblin- -If You Saw The Model Picture Of The Green Goblin?- -You'd Think It Was Pretty Cool.- -And Hey, They Were Going To Make The Green Goblin A Whole Lot More Like The Comic Book One, But The Budget Constraints In The CGI Studios Cut It Back So Much That They Had To Make Green Goblin Look More Simpler For The CGI Action Scenes.- -But Leaving Spider-Man All Detailed And Such Was Okay Because- -Hey- -He's The Lead.- -And You Know What?- -Despite What Any Of You Say?- -ANYTHING IS BETTER THEN A SUPER HERO COSTUME WITH NIPPLES. The ONLY Thing I'm Worried About Is Sam Raimi. I Mean I Loved A Simple Plan, And The Gift, But From What I Hear, It Sounds Like He's Trying To Make Spider-Man A Whole Lot More Comical Then Serious.- -And I Just Don't Want Another Jack of All Trades, or Cleopatra 2525. The First Several Seasons Of Hercules And Xena Were Great Because They Took It Seriously- -With The Occasional Laugh For Good Measure- -But Once They Started Getting All Slap Stick?- -THAT'S Where I Drew The Line. I Mean COME- -ON- -What The Heck Was That Episode Of Hercules And The Fashion Police?- -And What The Heck Was The Episode Of Xena And Her Friends As- -Well- -Hill Billies?- -FOR CHRISTS SAKES, KNOCK IT OFF.- -The Same Thing Happened With Batman. First It Was Serious, And The Next Thing You Know? "I'LL USE MY BAT-MAN-MASTER-CARD!" FRAG THAT, MAN!- -FRAG THAT.

Spidey Rules!!!!! The costume looks awsome (I want one) but the Green Goblin... Looks to me like the studio borrowed an unused costume form one of the Power Rangers movies, I mean really, what were they thinking. Either the designer was smoking too much "green" himself, or not enough.

you don't read the comic book do you? Because if you did you would appreciate the importance of the Green Goblin. The GReen Goblin was Norman Osborn. Norman was Peter Parkers best friend(Harry Osborn)father. He was the only one who knew who spider-man really was and vice versa. Venom is one of spidy's greatest villans and looks feally cool, and is really cool, but the whole mind game of spidey and green goblin is just great. It is one of the best plots in comics history. Oh and the one with the orange cape was Hobgoblin a complety different character but you proboly wouldn't know anything about that.

I think this movie was the best and i can't wait to see the next one. I think the Spider Man costume was awsome. The Green Goblin was ok to be made with a short budget. I really wan't a Spider Man costume. If you can send me one. I live in Indian Trail, North Carolina, 225 Lake Wood Drive. It doesn't have to be exspensive. The movie was awsome. sk8brdr8919@AOL

OK for all you idiots out there, who obviously dont know anything about spider-man, this movie is part of a THREE MOVIE SERIES. There are still two movies to come, one featuring VENOM and the other featuring DR. OCTOPUS! They have to follow a story line, ok?
