Based on the comment that the exec is a "prick becuse he will capitalize on the death of his/her investment. If the exec does not, would he/she risk being fired. Is it not the exec's occupation to make the most profit for the label feasible? What should the exec do instead, should he/she do nothing?
I fail to see, why Power Trip and Fred Hater think the exec in this instance is a "prick". Let's set aside the insults and childishness for a moment and discuss this Power Trips comment.

The serious answer is: Anyone can be a prick--particularly squirmy little girls like you. The music industry is rampant with pricks that will capitalize on anything--even the death of a celebrity (oh horrors)-- to increase the bottom line. How long before there is the "best of", "tribute" album and tv movie about Aaliyah? How much do you think the family and friends will get back in return? I'm willing to gamble like the other record exec pricks did with Biggie Small and Tupac that they'll see little or nothing of this amazing talent cut short in the prime of her life.

I agree, this is a great example of big shots pushing to get their way not knowing what could happen. DUMB DUMB DUMB.
They threated the pilot his job if he didn't fly. It was stated they aurgued for over 1 and half hours before the threats got large that he gave in and cost hoime and eight others their lives. DUMB DUMB. Bottom line.... Pilot is in controll and he gave in. Both sides to blame.

Its a real pity and very sad. She was actually a fantastic actress with a lot of room to grow and her music rocked. Maybe the crash could have been avoided if it wasnt for the luggage and the ignorance of superstars who always get their own way. But I think the crash happened for deeper reasons than that. RIP to Aalyah and all those who died in the crash. As for Dtheatre members such as "powertip". You do live up to your name and couldnt be mistaken for anything 'but' an American. You know, just cos a random shemp can argue a lot better than you doesnt mean u have to get all nasty and insecure. From what Ive seen on this site the best comments are made from random shemps and the bullsh*t jabbering and the wannabe funny jokes come from members like you and 100%. I prefer to read the comments from the shemps who have an idea. Not from the members who just like to talk sh*t. Well if you still research they found out that there was an argument that turned up about the amount of luggage on the plane but she didn't want to leave some luggage there but she wanted to carry all of it back to the u.s. so she is kind of responsible of the crash

I really liked a Aaliyah to me she was the best singer in the whole hip-hop and r&b game. For one she never dressed inappropiate she always dressed to her ability. She was also a person that young kids looked up to. I really give her whole famioy my spmpathy because i was very sad myself to hear that something like this happened like this to one of my favorite singers and actresses.
