I know rumours about another Alien movie are almost as abundant as say, a Bond rumour (I said almost) - usually it's BS but entertaining none the less. But this time it's supposedly a quote from Sigourney Weaver herself.
Speaking to The Sunday Times, Weaver spoke enthusiastically about increasing her future workload; "If they want to write a good script for another Alien film and give me $20m, then fine," she told them. "If it's more sex they want, great. Another brilliant drama? Yes, please...Even if I got pregnant again at this age, I'd want the baby. I'm up for anything."
This tells us - well - absolutely nothing!

A3 would have been better if Fincher didn't get hamstringed by Fox studios (even he admits that--look it up). It would have been interesting as a space/monster movie and had nothing to do with the franchise. A3 mucked it up for the rest of the series and basically screwed everything up that Cameron achieved with Aliens. Imagine all of the lost possiblilities. So be it, maybe Fox can get some real guts and do something "new." Not likely, but one can hope.

I think if there is going to be a sequel they will need to do something like either have a hive started on Earth, a threat to the homeland might up the interest; or they should finally try merging the predator and aliens story together. I have been looking forward to this for a while. The comics did it, the games did it, now the movie should follow.

Yea well from the ending to ressurection (by far the worst of the series, 3 was okay... not good, but okay) the new story has to be the Aliens infesting a futuristic earth! That would rock the boat, claven.

reserection was still better than the a3 art film...it was more true to the original series,
one of the scipts that got rejected by Scott and his fellow gas huffers had the aliens getting as far as a moon colony, having hidden on the ship, it didn't have Hicks die but Newt was a carrier of the Queen, similar to a3 but sounding much better,.. reserection was meant to make up for the mistake of killing the series in 3,
which Weaver tried to argue against,
the Alien vs Predator movie has been tossed around for years, scipts here, no budget there, with all the new cgi crap out there the movie is more likely to get done now than ever before..we should be trying to convince someone...but who???

Well said 100% AMERICAN:
Glover asked NY cab drivers to not sterotype potential passengers based on the color of their skin, or the neighboorhood they live in. The cab drivers agreed. 1 year later, there are 11 cab driver murders (10 more than any previous year ), all done in the neighboorhoods they used to avoid. Glover is nowhere to be found.

I can't believe no one mentioned "Aliens". That one Kicked @#$. As far as the 3rd and 4th went, talk about blah. I would agree however about the Aliens finding there way to earth. The way I see it that would be the only way to save the series.

yes...earth would be the next thing to do. if they have a good story...it will be good...bottom line. they are all good for eye candy...but the first 2 are by far the best in the series. they have the potential to make an even better movie with the new movie. earth would be great.

The first was a masterful film. Art, action, suspense, etc. The next one was predictably less the way sequels tend to be, but good nontheless. Three sucked and Resurrection was offensively sucky, although I actually liked the idea. I was mostly turned off by all the cheesy black leather. Also, there were too many interesting but undeveloped characters.
An infestation on Earth (or very near Earth) would be a wonderful progression. The main problem I foresee, and it could easily be avoided, is the possibility of an unweildily large cast. The first film, and to a lesser extent, the 2nd and 3rd installments used the isolation of a group to add to the psychological tension. The company should go back to being an impersonal business entity. It's representatives should return to treachery as in 1 and 2, rather than the obviously despicable and ugly scientists that personified it in 4.

Gosh, if Sigourney has a baby, they aren't going to let her do an Alien movie. I mean, who would the father be?

THEY SHOULD MAKE A NEW ALEIN. IT SHOULD HAVE A NEST IN THE SEWERS AND THEY START TO INVADE AND KILL.THE ARMY WOULD HAVE TO GO TO WAR,BUT MORE AND MORE ARE STILL COMING TILL THE KILL THE QUEEN.BUT NO ONE KNOWS WHERE THE NEST IS, SO THEY CALL THE ONLY EXSPERT{WEAVER}TO HELP THEM.
