This former NYC bouncer has a big future in the movie industry, and will quickly surpass Marky Mark in all motion picture aspects. "XXX" sounds interesting, save the "hip hop flair". The "hip hop flair" would better be saved for Marky Mark who is a hip hopper for life, and the "badest" white rapper in the world.

Hardly an argument... The weak points you were making %100 American, were similar to those made by my 5 yr old nephew when he attempted to pursuade me into believing that sniffing one's fingers after scratching ones ass was proper etiquette. In both cases the discussion left a bad taste in my mouth.

He can act. He played the soft hearted soldier in "Saving Private Ryan", the pathetic trader in "Boiler Room",and the fugative in "Pitch Black". Allof them different roles. He started out as a bouncer in NY, and I can tell you from expirience that if a bouncer in NYC even touches a trouble maker; the establishment will be sued, as will the bouncer. Vin taught himself how to be the most masculine person in the room, regardless of the crowd, whether it be high rollers, gangs, bikers, ect.
It's all acting, and under a lot of pressure. I'm posotive this guy will be a top box office player within the next 3 years. He's already getting paid 10 mil. per movie, and so far he's chosen his parts well. The only bad choice was "Reindeer Games", and he got kicked off the set. I'm not saying he's superior to Marky Mark in every way. Marky is with out a doubt, a much better rapper guy.

hi there reading your message I see your point , and he looks better playing the tuff guy role but the man CAN act..like others have said "Saving Privaye Ryan", "boiler room"...prove he can act..and as far as been told "The Fast and The Furious" has him doing some awesome acting, you just never know these days many actors surprisng roles!!..some good some failed but at least they give it a try!! maybe he does'nt want to b labeled as JUST a tuff guy????

I think writing and starring in his first two movies, having stephen spielberg write you a major role in his movie, and starring in a summer block buster movie means you can act, or perhaps your jealous, responding to comments instead of getting out there and doing what you love, like Vin Diesel
