I don't know, the movie looks great and all, but I'm not so sure about Raimi..
have you read Bruce Cambell's book...
if not find it, and read the forward by Ivan and Sam...
it will forever change your perspective on what used to be one of my favorite directors

the raimi brothers come off as bitter scam artists, with little or no respect for one of the greatest actors of all time(bruce)...
and having known each other since childhood, I was expecting that something else, not Sam referring to Cambell's fans as "illiterate"
and refer to Cambell as "a puppet, my puppet,
I pull a string and he raises a eyebrow, I pull another string and he runs through the woods and hits his head on a tree"
I am disconcerted by that, but oh well Sam an ass, arrogant, and spoiled....nuf said

yesterday someone mentioned who or what the music was at the end of the trailer.
Anyone know who it is, and/or the name of the song?

I'm a huge fan of all Sam and Bruce's work. They're still very close friends. So whatever they say about eachother is meant to be a prank. Hell, on the Army of Darkness Director's Cut DVD Sam , Ivan and Bruce did a commentary track together. If you watch the Evil Dead 2 DVD in the special features section you'll see how they torment eachother. It's all in good fun.
Oh yeah, Bruce has a cameo in lots of Sam's movies, including Darkman, The Quick and the Dead and of course Spider-Man.

"a puppet, my puppet,
I pull a string and he raises a eyebrow, I pull another string and he runs through the woods and hits his head on a tree"
..if that's not a joke then Sam Raimi is just plain EVIL.. (spoiler: it's a joke)

in bruces book, he implies strongly that he and the raimis' haven't been getting along for a few years now...
started with a auguement during hercules series..
as for Ivan, from what I've read and heard he goes where the money is, anywhere the money is...
I could see the forward being a joke, but man they don't even imply that it is, and would you want a "national" crowd reading that and thinking you were an as%hole, with out at least letting people in on it..
I'm a tremendous fan, of bruce and sam, but reading that and the way its presented...I just don't know what to think about it

Finally our Arachnid hero is coming to the big screen. I'm not getting any younger and the promise to have a Spider-Man movie has been a long awaited dream for the comic-book child inside of me. The delay is over and although I saw Spidey's true Hollywood debut as a risky adaptation, to my surprise the trailer was as excellent as I could have expected it.
Amazingly it kept the original Marvel's primary color spectrum on our beloved web-swinger, rather than turning him into a dark, shadowy or even gothic version of the image we all grew up with.
The achievements of comic book movies like the X-Men and the Matrix have forever changed the endless possibilities of action-packed flicks. I have a feeling "Spider-Man" will get back the attention of all pulp-junkies around the world that lost their faith back when "Batman" made us all yawn.
Thank you, Mr. Stan Lee!

Stan Lee is way behind in the good comic movies, a few good ones, a boat full of terrible ones. If Spidey is good, they should hit up the others with the most potential: Daredevil, Captain America the remake, Silver Surfer, and/or S.H.E.I.L.D. nuff said

Trust me, the forward is s joke and nothing but a joke. As stated in the first part of the forward, Bruce requested that Sam and Ivan do the forward. Would he have requested they do it if he weren't on good terms with them? I mean come on! It is so obviously a joke! Did you read the book? Sam constantly and good-humordly tortured Bruce. Quote Bruce himself in his book "Sam doesn't torture the people he doesn't like, he tortures the people he does." Its a joke! How could this not be the most obvious thing in the world? If they weren't on good terms, do you think sam would put Bruce in another cameo in "Spider-Man?" (which he did, as a ring-leader at the circus)
